Review from Sydsvenskan.se
Nothing could beat Helena Josefsson this evening. She sang “Beat It” with attacking vocal, completely shameless – the overwhelming cover. “Ain’t No Sunshine” was even much more than that: five minutes of longing, love, sorrow, blues, soul and heart. A cover? Naaah. This version was awfully great.
And now let us listen to Marie Fredriksson’s 2002 version of Ain’t no sunshine.

hahahahaha 😀
Thanks for the Marie’s mp3. I always wanted to hear that in a long time.
Good covers! Nice to watch Helena here again. BTW, no need to compare the cover to Marie’s one. Different interpretations.
No, I didn’t want to compare the interpretations. Every artist is free in how he/she sings a song, I’d never compare the interpretation of a song to another.
Excuse me… but I think Helena is not good at singing at all…
You are excused, Bianchitta. You can hate her style if you want to. Saying “Not good at singing at all” is very rude, isn’t it?
I don’t agree. It’s a matter of taste, but I love Helena’s voice. The artists she has worked with seem very happy with the final outcome: The Ark, Per Gessle, Justin Winokur, Swan Lee, Junior Senior, Arash, Sebastian Karlsson …
I don’t hate Helena or her voice or her style. I’m indifferent about her. And I don’t mean to be rude. I just think her voice is weak and insipid.
I am not a fan of her voice/style either, the only of her works I liked so far is PartyPleaser, and on the CD. Live it’s back to the voice *I* personally find annoying. It’s a matter of taste, indeed. This has nothing to do with her as person 🙂
Re Marie: or listen to any of these covers 😛

I agree. I personally think she is a very nice person but I really don’t like her voice or it’s more like I can’t stand listening to her voice for more than a few songs. I share the feeling about it being annoying. Definitely a matter of taste, but her voice and way of singing just doesn’t reach or touch me. I enjoyed listening to her on TPC, though. I love Perfect Excuse and Hey, I died…
I have the other way round. I’m not a fan of her as a person, but as the artist I give her my big wow and take a bow. I find this what she’s been doing through the last few years as the amazing exemple of good music. In other words – would love to be on this concert, but don’t feel like meeting her afterwards 🙂
And yes, more Helena to come very, very soon 🙂
I dared to watch.. listen.. hm.. sorry, def not my thing. I could even go with the moves, Kurt (Nirvana) was kind of flipping out on stage too, but to me that sounds again out of tune. Did they use too much computer on TPC?
Great videos! Helena loves to have fun on the stage!
