Some unknown, at least to me, pictures which were taken on the set of “Kix” and “I want you to know” videos back in 1997. If you have more pictures from the set, please feel free to share these photographies with us.

Sirius XM broadcasted the 100th episode of “Nordic Rox”

NEW YORK – January 23, 2009 – SIRIUS XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today that Per Gessle of the multi-platinum band Roxette and music journalist Sven Lindstrom will host a two-part special celebrating the 100th episode of Nordic Rox, SIRIUS XM’s exclusive Scandinavian music show. Nordic Rox airs weekly on Sunday nights at 8 pm on The Spectrum on SIRIUS channel 18 and XM channel 45.

“One hundred shows! Can’t believe it! We started out as rookies with this simple mission to bring Scandinavian pop and rock music to the U.S. It’s been a blast,” said Per Gessle. “We’ve had great response from listeners all over the country. The best thing, however, is to put these shows together. To dig out thatspecial track we just know is happening and demands a bigger audience than just the tiny local radio station in the north of Sweden. That, to me, is what it’s all about.”

“One of the original goals of creating Nordic Rox was to bring the most original and exciting English language music from the rich musical history of Scandinavia to SIRIUS XM subscribers,” said Scott Greenstein, SIRIUS XM Radio’s President and Chief Content Officer. “Per and his team have built the artistic bridge between the music of Scandinavia and the music fans of North America.”

The two-part special will spotlight the 50 best Swedish songs of all time. In addition, broadcast highlights will include Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist of The Hives and rising Swedish rock star Lisa Miskovsky as well as archival interviews featuring several of the recording artists from the list.

The first part of the Nordic Rox special will debut on Sunday, January 25 at 8 pm ET, with encore presentations on Wednesday, January 28 at 11 pm ET and Saturday, January 31 at 8 pm ET. Part two of theNordic Rox special will debut on Sunday, February 1 at 8 pm ET, with encore presentations on Wednesday, February 4 at 11 pm and Saturday, February 7 at 8 pm ET.

Per Gessle on Depeche Mode’s gig

According to Dagens Nyheter Per Gessle was watching Depeche Mode’s concert at Globen, Stockholm (January 31st) from the mixboard place together with Anton Corbijn. The well-known photographer was also called as the “third member of Roxette”. Did someone forget about Clarence?

Here’s what the Man said about this gig on his Twitter and Facebook:

Just back from Depeche@theGlobe. Much better than expected since I don’t know that many songs. FANTASTIC set design! And a beautiful crowd!! And Dave Gahan is great mix between Freddie Mercury and Mick Jagger…

Re. Depeche Mode: And of course, Anton Corbijn did the stage production!

More info about the Anderstorp gig

(UPDATED, 16.21 CET): According to biljettnu.se the audience will be allowed to  enter the event area at 17.00 CET (which either means we’re talking about two different stages or a re-organization of the so far known schedule for this day):

So, we have two different kinds of tickets – concert-only tickets for 650 SEK which can be bought at biljettnu.se  and 3-days-race-tickets including the concert for 850 SEK which can be purchased at theracelegends.com

Then we have a schedule with the stage program starting at noon. Until now many of us didn’t know and wondered how the entrance will be done since the owners of a 3-days-race-ticket can of course join the stage program starting at noon which is also included in the ticket. So as far as I know a lot of fans already bought the full package for 850 SEK just to be sure to stand the closest to the stage.

Thanks to Yana who sent a mail to the CEO we now know that everyone – no matter which ticket for the concert you have – has the same chances to reach the front row:

There will only be one type of ticket to the Roxette concert, regardless of if you have race ticket or a concert ticket.
The stage is located in the event area and there will only be standing tickets. No special tickets for close to the stage are available.
Both those who have a race ticket and those who have a concert ticket only will be forwarded in to the stage area at the same time.

So, the questions change from “how and when do we get in?” to “How does this work when there’s actually artists on stage performing before 17.00? Are there two stages, more entrances? And how do those with the 3-days-ticket get in to enjoy the stage program during the day?
