Secret Roxette trip to Russia

As Evgeny Perekopskiy posted on his Facebook account today, Roxette – including the band with Clarence Öfwerman, Christoffer Lundquist, Pelle Alsing and Magnus Börjeson – have been in Moscow during the last days. They arrived on December 9th in the evening and flew back to Stockholm this morning.
So far, nobody knows why they have been there and what they did. So speculations started that Roxette either did a video or photo shoot or came to Moscow for some TV show recording, maybe even some New Year’s Eve show.

Back from Moscow Per Gessle lets us know what the trip was about:

Just got home from a couple of dayz (and nights) in jolly Moscow. Great TV-show, superb crowd. Hey you Russian ppl, see ya again in March!

  11. I wouldn’t call this a “secret” visit, they must have had their reasons not to tell anybody 🙂 I think they are accessible enough, and there is a tour ahead with plenty of chances 😉

  12. I didn’t realise it was a secret trip since Dimberg mentioned she was going to Moscow a few days ago, I always assume she is doing something with Roxette being there manager!

  17. Kiwein: I know, it’s fine 🙂 I was more refering to the comments on FB wondering why Per&Co hadn’t said anything, or demanding they should have done so ;))

    And I prefer not to comment on posts on FB done privately/to be seen only by some 😉

    What I wonder is, I think somebody wrote that where fans outside the hotel, how did they find out? Don’t they talk to eachother? :S

    Some fans are standing near Ritz-Carlton hotel where Roxette were staying at in September. Are they Toni Braxton’s fans?
    But! They were not Roxette fans. I think they were either ’30 seconds to Mars’ or Alexander Bard’s new project called ‘Gravitonas’ fans who was also in Moscow these days. But I think they were 30 seconds to Mars fans.

    MOSCOW – Roxette has been in Moscow, Russia doing TV for new year’s eve. Unfortunately there will be no “She’s Got Nothing On (But the Radio)” as Roxette recorded “The Look” and “Sleeping in My Car”, and probably not live. Per comments to TDR that it was “great fun with great people” and adds on Twitter that Roxette will see its Russian fans again in March.

    @Judith I don’t think it’s an issue to mention it after the event, it’s not like I told a dozen or so Russian fans so they could hound her at the airport – I am quite good at discretion! 😉
