The Website ‘Pop In Stereo’ is possibly the first to review the new Roxette single after it’s leak on the internet yesterday. The single has received both positive and negative comments from fans around the world, but it predominantly seems all positive and fans seem in high spirits that Roxette are back again!
The review of the single which was published on their website yesterday on New Year’s Eve, talks about the new album ‘Charm School’ and where the album has been recorded and who is behind the production of the album as well as giving the release date.
As for the single, it gets a big thumbs up from the reviewer in which they describe soaring vocal melodies and say it is what you would expect to hear from a band that created some of the biggest hits of the 80s and 90s. They also say if the single is promoted properly, ‘She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio)’ could be poised to acquiring Roxette a whole new audience of music fans.
To protect the policies of the Roxette Blog I am unable to link to the site, but feel this is most certainly a newsworthy article as the website Pop In Stereo attracts a lot of visitors!
But I think it is possible to link to You Tube video. Per on PGO wrote that he likes our – fans reaction to the new single + TDR posted a You Tube link on Twitter. We still encourage fans to buy the single and the album and support official sale, so why not just to put a You Tube video?
Didn’t even know that you can embed a Youtube vid as audio only… Nice review and promo! The site is quite popular, right?
I think posting YouTube link won’t hurt either. It seemed many artists nowadays already accept the fact that their songs will leak anyway. I read somewhere, they don’t really make money with their albums/songs anymore, but mostly with concerts/tours, still I encourage the fans to buy the single/album when it hit the store or order it online officially.
I had never heard of that site “Pop In Stereo”. Is that an important site? There are a lot of music sites that nobody cares about, anyone can buy a domain and create a blog.
Truth is the only sites people and media in general will care about are Rolling Stone and Billboard, which will most likely ignore the new single or trash it (and I won’t blame them!).
The website is quite popular, I have read it for years they always seem ‘on the ball’ with the latest music news.
SGNOBTR is nice powerpop! Energetic & catchy – something people will sing along to and that is what we need from Roxette as well. I’m sure the nice songs that best suit Marie’s voice, will feature on the rest of the album – can’t wait to BUY my copy of the deluxe cd! 🙂
Roxette is back – let’s celebrate!!
nice review, is it by a fan? or who is writing there?
A Canadian review:
“With an amazing sense of melody and the unique mix of Marie Fredriksson’s and Per Gessle’s voices, She’s Got Nothing On has the potential to be the biggest single from the duo since “Joyride”, their last Canadian number one hit in 1991.”
