The concert was organized on the city market as a part of the few-day festival Moon & Stars. 12,500 tickets were sold for the concert. Marie grabbed Italian flag at the end of the concert – but as the gig took place in Switzerland, some might find it controversial.

Great Show but the person who organises the Flag at the end of the Show, should do better research. The Italien Flag in Switzerland was a Big mistake.
I suppose it was someone who threw the flag on the stage and they just grabbed from the floor. Don’t think it was an intended situation. It just reminds me when Marie waved the Polish flag on the Prague concert back in 2001… (Polish flag is white and red and Czech white and red with blue triangle) Well, we should be very careful about this kind of things…
Indeed great performance of Marie in a very interesting location
it was a fantastic evening, really <:-D
The flag was a bit of a mishap but since none of the Swiss people had a flag ready to throw on stage I don't blame the Italian doing it… It would be a shame to remember this concert only by this little incident.
It was awesome to be 12 years old again for one nite…! 🙂 I loved it when they changed the big flag in the back of the stage to an old Joyride picture. Marie was great. It felt so good to see her back on stage and her forgetting or messing up lines only made her more lovable. 🙂 The flag thing was a bit irritating, but not worth the fuss.
Thanx also to Per, the band, and the fans for such a wonderful and unforgettable nite!!
Came from Australia to see this show & it fuckin rocked!! Marie was the best I’ve seen in her come back!! So glad to finally be part of it & not just eatching on YouTube 😉 I had an Aussie flag lucky I didn’t throw that on the stage ; P Seriously who gives a shit?? They speak Italian in Locarno so it’s close enough 😉
My friend close to me threw the flag … And Clarence Grabbed from the floor…. A little gift for us … The only one country in europe without concerts… Sorry swiss friends … Italian official fun club was there…
I was there just a few steps behind you. No mistake I think, they just threw the flag up the stage and Clarence grabbed it, then they let the fans take a pic and Pelle wrapped it around Marie’s shoulders. They hesitated a bit, I think because they knew it wasn’t a swiss flag, but what else could they have done? throw it back? Take it just as a little homage to us italian fans left without a concert (did 450 km to see them and another 450 to get back home).
@hotblooded91 if you were in the front raw I saw your flag.
we could all be very happy that we were able to join this wonderful concert in locarno – 10 years after the last concert in switzerland. thanks to all italian fans who joined us there. see you 31th october in zurigo. Peter Switzerland
I love your attitude. I’d like to see us as people who share beautiful experiences with each other instead of competing with each other. I think the flag was nice since the italians didn’t have an “own” concert there.
A little off topic but since there isn’t a post of it’s own, here’s a short article about the concert in Finland (in Finnish): http://yle.fi/alueet/turku/2011/07/roxette_valloitti_kalkkikaivoksen_2728897.html

PK yeah I was! Well I’m half Australian & half Italian so I was quite happy to see Marie wrapped in the Italian flag 😉
