What can I say!! Words can’t describe this. I feel euphoria as a Roxette fan.
Euphoria is described by some as an exaggerated feeling of physical and mental well
being. This is exactly what a Rox concert is for me! Although sitting for 8 hours in
a road waiting, it was all worth it! I am amazed that Marie performed so well
tonight after a long flight from Europe! What a superwoman. The set list was the
same as the south American concerts with It’s possible from Travelling. Fantastic
song loved it. First time I saw Dea live. Great artist in her own right. One can
see she loves performing live. Per was his SUPER self as were VERY entertaining.
Loved it. Christoffer is a genius with the instruments he plays. What an
entertainer. He played “suikerbossie” a local folk song which the crowd loved. All
in all we the fans of 15 000 in attendance saw a performance that is considered
first class. We were in the company of a Swedish band that lives and breathes
music. Hopefully the band noticed the words displayed in front. ” The Beatles had
nothing on Roxette. Roxette is the Best band in the world! Leaving Johannesburg
behind tomorrow and heading to Durban for the 2nd South African concert.

  1. Awesome awesome show in JHB last night!!!!! thx!! Something I will cherish for the rest of my life!!!!!

  2. Did they bring down the full stage setup or just the “festival” background? Can’t tell from the pictures.

  3. The New Age Online article claims Per sang many of the songs Marie usually sings leaving the crowd wondering what was wrong with Marie. Other than “Crash! Boom! Bang!,” was this true???

    • Nothing we know. According to Heidi there was never such problems. Unfortunately – South Africans seems not to upload videos to YouTube very often 🙁

  4. Thanks Tomasz! Let’s hope it will stay this way over summer, I “feared” that they would have switched back to the old setup for the summer (festival) season and far destinations. Sounds promising for Amsterdam.

    • No, though they previously announced they would use not their equipment, it seems they were not reffering to the stage’s look – maybe lights and stage itself were rented? Don’t really know.

  5. Hey all. Set was new combo of charm school and new one with lights as I’ve seen on the clips. Marie was tired Sunday night. Yes I could see that. She missed a few lines here and there but overall she was fine. I am en route so will have to upload the clips over weekend. All I can say is I’ve attended the best concert of my life last night in Durban. Marie was more than amazing!!!!!!!!!!

  6. @ Remco, yes the joyride balloons were in SA as well. Must say nowadays they are fun for audience but dangerous for Marie as there is always at least one that land up in her direction. She just ignores the balls really and carries on with her kick ass performance 🙂
