Trivia
This was a double concert to celebrate 100 years of “Pfalzwerke” at the Betzenberg stadium. Sunrise Avenue and Roxette both played a 1:45 minutes set. Frontman Samu Haber presented himself as a Roxette fan who had bought “Look Sharp!” as his first music album. Check out his Rox memories here! Guitarist Riku Rajamaa implemented the “Sleeping In My Car” riff into a solo guitar performance.
Great concert. First time I’ve heard Silver Blue and Stars live, specially Stars was amazing!
Didn’t expect the background with the light effects on this small stage, cool that they’ve brought it along anyway.
The stage placed in the corner by the organizers was destroying the atmosphere in the stadium.
Maybe placing the stage in the corner was a precondition to save the lawn as much as possible. The new soccer season starts in a month and as far as I know they always had and have trouble with the lawn up there.
Thanks for the info. Sounds like this could have been the reason.
As I have read now, soundproofing was more likely the reason cos of the residential area all around the stadium.
Ah, OK. Still a bit strange as it was silence at 22.00 anyhow. I’m sure they had their reasons or not…
Marie looks good on this picture but her jacket is really awful!! It looks like a Las Vegas magician outfit and it’s XXL and dark blue and black doesn’t match at all.
I think it works as a stage outfit. Made her sparkle in the middle of the stage. In reality it didn’t look so blue, I guess it’s just reflecting the blue light here.
Yeah, she looks like a magician, but somehow sweet! I downloaded this pic, only for private purposes, of course. I like it. Old-fashioned sweet Marie. 🙂
One thing to Amsterdam: I guess this hasn’t been 9 – 10.000 ppl.! It was a small venue with maybe 3.000 ppl., at most 5- 6.000! But it was really sold out and the atmosphere was great!!
How do you interprete the official capacity info then? http://www.heineken-music-hall.nl
