Roxette entered the UK Radio Airplay Charts with “She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio)” at #31, the highest new entry of the week!

The song started out last week on Radio 2’s A-List and several programmes frequently played it. It still remains on the A-List for a second week running! Fans also report hearing it on Radio 1 as well as local commercial radio stations!

The new album “Charm School” sees a release in the UK on March 28th with both the regular and the deluxe album being already available for pre-order from online stores! All fans want now is that UK tour date!

Roxette in Spain in November!

According to Live Nation today Roxette are playing concerts in Madrid and Barcelona in November 2011. Dates have been announced for the Palacio Vistalegre Arena in Madrid on 18th November 2011 and for the Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona on 19th November 2011. Live Nation and Spanish VIP Tickets go on sale on the 16th March and tickets to the general public go on sale on 18th March!

I am sure this news will make many Spanish fans smile!

Roxette gets an A on BBC’s Radio 2!

UK Roxette fans have good news this week. Roxette’s single ‘She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio)’ has made it to the exclusive A-List on BBC’s Radio 2 which is absolutely fantastic news since Radio 2 is perhaps one of the biggest national radio stations in the country.

According to the BBC Radio 2 website the Playlist Committee, is made up of producers and chaired by Jeff Smith, Head of Music Radio 2. They meet each week to decide which new releases will be added to the station’s playlist.

The playlist contains about 30 tracks which are then divided into three different levels the A list, which receive the most plays, about 20 each week, the B list which gets around 10 plays and the C list which receives around 5 plays.

Per tweeted his happiness this morning:

‘She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio) has been A-listed on BBC Radio 2 playlist in UK” – We like that!!!’

UK Release April 4th

According to Amazon UK ‘Charm School’ seems to have a release date of 4th April in the UK, they currently have for pre-order the album at £11.99 and the Deluxe Version at £14.99, both however are listed as imports but I suspect this has just not been removed from the previous listings they had for the imported versions as previously advertised.

Play.com also have both versions of the album listed as well with a date of 4th April! The deluxe version is £12.99 and the regular album is £8.99.

UK album and single release expected in the spring!

In a press release issued by EMI Music today, they confirm that the European launch of Charm School will be on Monday 14th February, while the UK will see a launch of the album and a single in the spring. Which single will be released in the UK remains to be seen!

Update: according to Amazon.co.uk, the album will be released on April 4th and both versions, standard and deluxe, will be available. Thanks David for the information!
