The most expensive houses in Sweden in 2010

13 out 20 the most expensive houses in Sweden are located in Djurholm area in Stockholm. Number 5 on the list is Per Gessle with his 520 m2 villa in Halmstad. The house is worth over 24,000,000 SEK now. He bought this property in 1993 for 950,000 SEK, but he and his wife have done a lot of extensive and expensive renovations since then. Per Gessle is also the one of those who gain the most thanks to Property tax refrom from 2008. Swedish government reduced the property tax till only 0,75% of property’s value (not more than 6,000 SEK per year). Due to this fact Gessle does not have to pay over 123,000 SEK of property tax per year anymore.

Rumours: Roxette to play in Germany

According to Musikindustrin‘s journalist Lars Nylin Roxette will play in Germany in December. In the article about Sundsvall concert he mentions Russia and Germany as the exemples of forthcoming Roxette shows. Time will tell if it is true.

“The look” on Victoria’s wedding?

According to Aftonbladet Victoria Bernadotte wants to hear Roxette’s “The look” on her wedding which will take place on June 19th. Rumours has it that ABBA’s Benny Andersson will write a new song for this ceremony.

Rumours – Roxette in Brasil?

We all love rumours, don’t we? That is why I post this information which was written by Danyela Etchart from Brazil.

It was March 29th, a little bit far from April 1st, when Brazilian online newspaper blog, called “O Povo”, from Fortaleza/Ceara State, North of Brazil, posted very strange news that could only be entitles as “rumours”. The headlines were “Fortaleza receives Scorpions, Roxette might come“

According to the site: (…) Siara Hall is dealing with the Swedish band Roxette, known by hits like “The Look”, “Listen To Your Heart”, “It Must Have Been Love” and “Joyride”. In time: The producer responsible for the Scorpions concert in Ceará (North of Brazil) has not officially confirmed, but other sources close to the event organizers said they have already agreed.

The question is: agreed with who? With Roxette?

Well, this is really strange because after the announcement of Roxette’s Scandinavian and Russian concerts, Roxette Attack Sudamerica Group contacted Live Nation in the name of 3 music producers to arrange around 6 or 7 Roxette concerts in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguai. Thomas Johansson from Live Nation (former EMA TESLAR) said there was no plans for South America this year. Dimberg also replied there would be only 5 Roxette concerts in 2010. But the doors won’t be closed to the South America, because if a world tour takes place after the new album release, South America will be probably part of it.

Alexandre, from Roxette Brazilteam posted this strange news on March 30th, according to Emmanuel Macêdo. Carlos Raphael, a fan from Fortaleza, checked this information with the Siara Hall, but they didn’t have any information about Roxette. The only concert confirmed was Scorpions on September 18th.

According to Thomas Johansson from Live Nation, there are no plans to include South America on Roxette concert schedule. Marie Dimberg from D&D Management claims there will not be any Roxette tour in 2010, only 5 concerts arranged on some Summer Festivals in Scandinavia and Russia.

Gessle’s marriage settlement

According to Aftonbladet’s researches among Swedish celebrities’ marriages, most of them have signed marriage settlements. It refers also to Per Gessle and Åsa Nordin’s relationship. In their settlement it is written that in case of divorce, Mrs. Gessle would get half the value of the couple’s apartments, but the rights to Mr. Gessle’s songs would remain totally his.

Other Swedish couples that marriage settlements were analyzed are: Tommy & Ann-Charlotte Körberg, Magnus & Louise Uggla, Liza Marklund & Mikael Aspeborg, Christer & Birgitta Sjögren, Carl Bildt & Anna Maria Corazza, Henning Mankell & Eva Bergman, Björn & Pernilla Skifs, Eva Dahlgren & Efva Attling, Benny Andersson & Mona Nörklit, Stellan Skarsgård & Megan Everett.

To clear the confusion about tickets for Roxette’s concert at Anderstorp raceway, we received another piece of info from ‘The Race Legends’ CEO Urban Stamming:

UPDATE, Sunday 31st, 22.08 CET:

Roxette Concert tickets are released Monday February 1, at 09.00!

The Race Legends is happy to announce that Biljett Nu is the official agency for tickets to the evening concert with Roxette.

There will be a limited amount of tickets.

Only standing tickets for 650 SEK including booking fee are available.

According to some tweets from Twitter, Swedish Gehrmans Musikförlag should be working on a Roxette song book.

More about Roxette’s future plans

In an interview with dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad Per and Marie reveal a bit more about Roxette’s future plans beside NOTP.

Now after the comeback announcement there are plenty of offers for concerts and tours, but Marie feels still unable to do a complete Roxette tour. One step at a time. Despite this limitations Per thinks everything they do now is unexpected fun. He learned a lot from Marie’s story and changed his focus from career and money to the best possible entertainment. His recent solo tour already went into that direction.

When asked about a new album, Per reveals that they plan to go into the studio in the autumn. Both look forward to spend a lot of time with each other again, to be creative. If this studio time leads to good new songs they will be released. If they fail, the songs will never be mentioned again…

So I’m glad they aim for more than some mediocre filler tracks! They want to reach the best Roxette standards again. And I got a feeling, they will succeed! Marie and Per seem to have some hunger again. How about you?

As Japeke found out and posted in the Run2Roxette Forum, Roxette will indeed be part of the Nokia Night of the Proms.
This is the way Japeke confirmed the news we already believed in since two weeks now:

If you go to www.notp.com, and then click on germany, netherlands or belgium (Antwerp), just click on program.
If you rightclick on a photo of a artist, you get a specific adress, like http://www.notp.com/files/nl/programma/2009/nlnotp_sharondenadel2.jpg.

Try what you get if you replace ‘sharondenadel2′ by ‘roxette’, so you get http://www.notp.com/files/nl/programma/2009/nlnotp_roxette.jpg: A picture of roxette in the folder of the artists which will perform in 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn’t work for charleroi, france and Spain, but it does for Antwerp, Netherlands, and Germany. So I would say: START BUYING TICKETS Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

What about NOTP?

According to Stephan Bodewig, the administrator of the Nokia Night of the Proms-fanpage on which we found the hidden source code information that Roxette is part of the 2009 proms, Per Gessle was seen with Dirk Hohmeyer, the promoter and organizer of the German Proms. They apparently met at the day of Per’s concert in Munich.

Bodewig still thinks that Per Gessle is doing the proms on his own as a solo artist and not with Marie as Roxette. But according to rumours that Marie will be in The Netherlands on wednesday (the day after the official NOTP press conference in Antwerpen) it’s most likely that it is indeed Roxette who will participate.

Roxette at “Night of the proms”?

As the German fansite Planet Roxette reported more than a week ago it’s possible that Roxette join the “Nokia Night of the Proms”, a tour including The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany with a big orchestra, as the top act. Hidden information in the source code of a NOTP-fanpage spreaded the rumour that Roxette would be the headliner of this year’s event after they had to cancel the show due to Marie’s illness in 2002.
The “wrong” source code disappeared after fans told the administrators about it. “The formerly hidden part in the source code wasn’t meant to be there and it’s just pure speculation. We don’t know the headliner of NOTP”, they explained to Planet Roxette. This explanation doesn’t really makes sense since they planned to do a competition about the possible artists first and wanted to give one information a day regarding all artists. The competition was cancelled due to “hysteria among some fan groups”. So the question is where they would have gotten their information from?

On May 5th all artists who join NOTP this year will be announced in a press conference in Antwerpen. The fact that Per Gessle is performing in Amsterdam only one night later and the rumour (spreaded by Clarence Öfwerman and Christoffer Lundquist) that the Amsterdam show is going to be a very special one let us think that both Per and Marie could attend not only the press conference in Antwerpen but also do – at least some – songs in Amsterdam together. And only a few hours ago some Belgian NOTP fans found out that the headliner of this year’s event has: “….sold more than 55 million albums and singles and had at least eight top-10-hits”. Unfortunately it’s not certain which country is meant concerning the top-10-hits, but Roxette indeed had eight songs that reached the top-10-spot in Germany.
