After the show in Tallinn on March 18th, Roxette will travel to Germany again to perform at Vitali Klitschko’s boxing fight against Odlanier Solis. The fight takes place in Lanxess-Arena in Cologne on March 19th. Roxette will perform their latest single “She’s got nothing on (but the radio)”. German TV station RTL will start the broadcast at 22.15 pm, the fight starts at 22.45 pm.
Thanks to Daniel Kühn for posting.
The German TV channel “Sat1” (one of EMI’s cooperation partners for the “Charm School” release) will air an episode of it’s “Music Special” series about Roxette on February 17, 1:50 a.m. The 30 minute late-night special typically shows a documentary about an artist/band. We don’t know if the material will be new and unseen or just a subtitled/dubbed version of one of Roxette’s known documentaries.

The show is nothing but a chart show coming with a certain motto and will be recorded on February 22th in Cologne. Roxette will play their latest single “She’s got nothing on (but the radio)”. Motto of the show is “the most famous synthiepop songs of all times”.
Tickets are still available HERE.
Additional info: The Chart-Show had between 3 and 3.5 million viewers in the last season. Normally the episodes get broadcast again after some months or even years. The show’s concept is a song countdown with videoclips based on the German charts/sales according to the motto. Some celebrities are talking and commenting the songs on a couch, while a couple of show acts perform on stage. Always one of the old charting hits, sometimes a new one as well. Sometimes playback, sometimes live.
Update 28-01-2011: both the broadcast and the recording dates haven’t been 100% confirmed by the production company. We will let you know as soon as we have this confirmation.
After 20 years Roxette will finally take part at the German TV show “Wetten, dass..?”. On February 12th, Roxette will perform a Greatest Hits medley at the show which will be broadcast from Halle. The show is on German channel ZDF and the biggest TV show in German television – around 8-10 million people usually watch the programme.
Unfortunately, tickets for this one show are already sold out.
UPDATE, 24th January: A few minutes ago, EMI Germany confirmed that Roxette will play a medley including “She’s got nothing on (but the radio)”.
UPDATE, 31th January: On Friday EMI revealed that Roxette play a medley of “The Look” and “It Must Have Been Love” along with “She’s Got Nothing On (But the Radio)”. Thanks mr jefferson!
If you read an article in today’s Aftonbladet, so forget about it. It was written there that extras for the “She’s got nothing on (but the radio)” video did not receive any money (though they agreed on those conditions) and had no food…
According to Aftonbladet and translated by welchemusic.com – the extras had been promised some food but had to content with nothing but coffee and white bread (nothing but the radio would have been better!). A spokesperson for the production company apologized explaining that “it was a difficult location, but there was heat and no more than 30 people in the room. I would like to call these people and apologize as that we did not intend them to feel this way.”
Here is the director Mats Udd’s words of truth:
Got an email yesterday that Aftonbladet was looking for extras who had felt mistreated during the making of the video. A man named Michael Garderud (he previously found a plastic in food – read more about it in Svenska Dagbladet’s article) was an extra on the Roxette video we did. He even wrote on his blog that it was a good recording. But he changed his mind when he read my interview that “”it was fun to work with a big budget”. He called Aftonbladet and said how he had been mistreated during the filming. It is of course amazingly boring, a making of the video should always be enjoyable and as comfortable as possible, especially if you are there for free. But before you cry out in Aftonbladet, you should know that a high budget to me is not a particularly high budget, I have made budget videos throughout 2010 for no more than 20,000 SEK. That is how it looks like, there is no money in the Swedish music video world – but Michael does not know that. Since Roxette has nothing to do with the recording, so the news’ value is approximately equal to zero.
Bravo to Mats then. The video for the single should be available in any day now.

Mediarun.pl reports that Polsat TV’s Warsaw New Year’s Eve Party was watched by 3,65 mln Poles with audience shares of over 30% in the 4+ group. During the midnight celebration (between 23:50 and 00:10) the audience rose to 4,27 mln people. The second channel of Polish national television TVP2 which organized the competing open-air party on the Wroclaw Old Town square – had an audience of 2,75 mln people.
RunToRoxette.com site did an interesting interview with Mats Udd, the director of the latest Roxette video for “She’s got nothing on (but the radio)” single. The interview is English and you can read it here.
Here is one of the most interesting answers Mats gave:
What is the spirit of the video for “She’s got nothing on (But The Radio)”?
I actually sent four ideas which was very different from eachother and they pick the last one and it was the most brightest idea cos they wanted a happy video. So that’s the spirit of the video, happiness but I tried to do it with a little twist. Of course, I wanted to go much deeper into weirdness but I guess that wouldn’t be true to the Roxette fans haha.
