A brand new Arash song featuring Helena Josefsson on the backing vocals.
Thanks to Evgeny Perekopskiy for this information.
The Roxette classic was covered again, this time by the Italian rock band ‘Ocean Drive’. Watch the video here:

Vicunja, a band from Halmstad, was founded in 2006 and consists of Alex Hansson (vocals), Johan Israelsson (guitar), Joakim Persson (bass) and Martin Larsson (drums). After appearances in Nalen in Stockholm and at the Peace & Love festival in Borlänge Vicunja released a video for the song “Some People“.
Theirs music has been described as a cross between ABBA and Nirvana.
You may have noticed that it got harder and harder to find official Roxette music videos on YouTube in the past months. That banning of “official” content is a matter of copyright issues between YouTube, music labels and the recording rights organisations. Now it appears that a user called “roxette” uploaded all the Roxette videos into a channel called “Roxette”.
Well, the channel already exists since 2006 but the videos only got uploaded 2 weeks ago. According to the channel page, it’s an official YouTube partner based in Sweden. Who’s behind this? EMI, Per or the management? Or just a fan – despite the “partner” tag? What speaks for EMI is the rather low video quality… but at least they’re available again!
PS. Um, the presence of “Fireworks” may speak against Per…
The song is called “Kyss mig” (Kiss me) and it’s quite unusual for Helena – she’s rapping there. The video was directed by Cecilia Nordlund (Cilihili) and you can spot Helena’s husband – Martin in one of the main roles.
According to Helena herself, there will be more informations on the song (album?) and even English translation of the lyrics. In the meantime she also informed that Sandy Mouche will perform for the very first time in three years on Banco del Musica festival on Stortorget in Malmö on March 4th. They have been rehearsing since Christman and prepared a handful of new songs that they would like to perform. You can also become fan of official Sandy Mouche’s page on Facebook – join here.
Review from Sydsvenskan.se
Nothing could beat Helena Josefsson this evening. She sang “Beat It” with attacking vocal, completely shameless – the overwhelming cover. “Ain’t No Sunshine” was even much more than that: five minutes of longing, love, sorrow, blues, soul and heart. A cover? Naaah. This version was awfully great.
