Marie likes U2. So does Per.

Åsa, Lars Nording & Per.Marie Fredriksson was on U2 360° Tour concert in Gothenburg on August 1. Expressen published a little interview with her where she admitted that she liked U2 very much. On the other hand, Per Gessle posted on his Twitter, that U2 was great but not fantastic. I’ve seen them so much better many times before. Hilarious stage set though. Loved it.

If you want to download this interview, click here (thanks sweepi!).

Thanks to crashroxer & sarahdenrara @ R2R.

Roxette Attack 2009 on Twitter.

It can sound a little bit of silly (really?) in these days, but it’s worth a try at least. Danyela Etchart from Brazil sent us her blog entry. Read it, think over it and pass on.

What is ROXETTE ATTACK 2009 SUDAMERICA?
A project created by Roxette Fans in South America (“Sudamerica” in Spanish).

Our goals:
1. Bring back Roxette to the media;
2. Make contacts between business companies and Live Nation to bring back Roxette to do concerts in South America.

The beggining:
Roxette Brazil created a petition to bring Per and his band to Brazil during the Party Crasher Tour. Many signatures after and some words from Per & his band, the things have slowed down here in Brazil and Bianca & Alexandre contacted me to shake it a little bit!

As I had to travel to Uruguay, I took this opportunity nox to meet Rosina (a “crazy fan” just like me that since EHM Tour has been travelling to Europe!). We contacted Ezequiel from Argentina and still looking for someone to represent Chile.

ATTACK CREDITS: Bianca Capelletti, Alexandre Carvalho, Rosina Marmion & Danyela Etchart

The “ATTACKplans:
As Roxette doesn’t have any promo stuff yet, that is why I’m developing a package that contain:
PROMO CD
RELEASE 2009 (Portuguese & Spanish + soon in English)
PROMO DVD

These items are based on Roxette Hits and they will be available for download very soon – I’m just finishing the artwork and also trying to contact with some fans that offer theirs help to exchange ideas!! (Gracias Emilio G.! I’ll contact you soon!)

ATTACK CREDITS: Danyela Etchart

The 1st ATTACK!

WHERE: Twitter.com
DAY: July 28th, Tuesday (New Wave Festival starts then)
TIME: THE WHOLE DAY!
GOAL: TYPE #ROXETTE many times till complete the 140 allowed letters

Marie in Spain.

Carrita Henningsson informs on Twitter that she saw Marie Fredriksson on the plane from Spain the other day. It means Marie was on holiday with her family in her Spanish house in Marabella. It’s very probable that New Wave Festival rehersals or recording session will start soon.

Per Gessle on MJ’s death. Sort of.

Today on DagensSvenskbladet, Swedish humorous site, was published an article about Per Gessle and “his close relation” to Michael Jackson entitled “Gessle: It could’ve been me as well”. The title says all. To be honest, I do not see any point in translating more of this fake interview. I suppose, it was thought to be funny, but I do not really think it is.

(Updated) Per commented on it on his Twitter page on July 11 :

No, this “interview” is 100% fake. It’s supposed to be funny, I think. Didn’t get it though.

By the way – the only thing Per said regarding the death of Michael Jackson was on June 26 on his own website:

Incomprehensible and terribly sad. A master has left us. We will never experience anyone like him again.

Live album title revealed

The forthcoming release from European Party Crasher Tour will be called “Gessle over Europe” and it will include live CD plus Stockholm gig on DVD, videos and documentaries as bonus. The double vinyl album will have 3 or 4 extra tracks compared to the CD due to technical reasons. CD/DVD will be released in the end of the summer and the LP edition somewhere in September.

Thanks to tevensso (@ TDR) we also got to know that “Dressed for success” will be from Cologne gig. This means that the city order given by Per (Cologne, London, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Stockholm#2, Warsaw, Halmstad, Munich) wasn’t accidental at all.

Another Per through Twitter

I guess this is going to be the most uninteresting you’ve read here, but.. just gotta write it down. I must say I like Twitter more and more. I follow some “VIPS” because I like what they do (either music or TV shows or music) and I feel like one can get to know another side of these people which isn’t the image we get from interviews, magazine articles and so on. And one of these is of course Per Gessle. He surprised me a couple of times with his tweets. Once he commented on Keith Urban, I think he said he met him in LA.. and added he has a beautiful wife. I think that was the first time I hear/read Per comment about a woman more than just about her voice. Of course, besides his songs about love and sex and passion and love and Åsa.

Yesterday he posted “Don’t forget to vote in the EU-election, all you Europeans!” – I think, as far as my brain can recall, it’s the first time I hear Per somehow.. get involved in elections/politics. On May 30th he posted “EU-election. Just voted. A great opportunity to take a stand.”

As I said, I like Twitter! And as I said, just a random post.

And don’t forget to vote! If you don’t, then don’t complain about the results :)
