Roxetteblog.com opens its doors

So we finally decided to go public with Roxetteblog.com

This website or blog was born from the idea of wanting to have all events and news happening around Roxette in one single place, as a sort of archive. In the last weeks, with Per Gessle’s tour and the rumours about Roxette, there’s been a lot going on. I’ve been regularly visiting 3 forums and 2-3 websites to get news, links to performances, pictures and so on and trying to keep track of all.. but I failed. I then started to collect all interesting links in “My Favourites”, but it soon became a mess and started to get lost. Excel lists didn’t help either.

So here’s where this website comes in. First I thought of doing it for myself, but then I thought it might help others as well. The idea is based on the microblogging such as Twitter.  It’s about having the most information, all packed in one website. An archive if you want to call it like that. Easy to search, easy to access, simple but useful. As our logo says, don’t miss a Roxette & Co thing! Or don’t forget where you read or found this or that about Roxette & CO!

Kirsten aka Kiwein (DE) joined this project as soon as I told her about this idea (thx for the theme!). She runs the German fanpage and forum.
Tomos85 (PL), Tevensso (SE) and Abysmo (CZ) also joined us this weekend. We also count with the collaboration of Mixella (RO) from Roxette.ro.

We are still looking for collaborators, fans who are very active in the Rox community and who love to share links to news and information they find in the net. Would you like to join the project? Just contact us and we’ll talk about it. The only think we ask for is your active participation, notifying us about any interesting links. As you can see in the existing articles, they don’t have to be “nice”, it is most of the times more than enough to write a few words with a link to the source.

We also want to use this site to share own thoughts about Roxette & Co. What forum do we like most/recommend? Other artists we think other Roxers might like? What’s going on in the Rox community? Who is going to what show?

And of course, your feedback is more than welcome!

Changes in the setlist

After adding “Sleeping in my car” to the playlist on Party crasher tour’s Cologne show (April 27th), now was a high time for Son of a plumber’s single – “Hey Mr DJ (Won’t you play another love song)” in Gent, Belgium (May 2nd). According to Per at gessle.com, the whole show was a blast with many international fans from Spain and Argentina in the audience.

Interview with Per at SR today

At P4 Premiär, which starts at 13:00. The hosts will phone Per (we assume while he is in Belgium).  Don’t miss it!

EDIT: you can listen to the interview here.  The broadcast is split in 3 parts, you’ll need to forward to the 2nd part, Per is right in the beginning.
