Helena Josefsson tells about the duet “My Own Worst Enemy” recorded for the film “Hamilton”

As we reported yesterday, Helena Josefsson is featured in a duet called “My Own Worst Enemy” which was recorded for the Swedish film “Hamilton – in the interest of the nation”. Helena has told us a bit more about the song.

How come you are singing a duet for the film “Hamilton  in the interest of t he nation”?

I was singing my music at an internal EMI party and there someone discovered my voice. They were about to record this Hamilton-song, and asked me to try the female vocals. I went to their studio and it worked out great!

My part in the song, as I think of it,  is to illustrate Hamilton’s late girlfriend, singing to him from heaven.

And how was it with Robert Petersson, lead singer of Takida?

Then they tried a number of male singers and they fell for Robert’s voice. I really think his voice is perfect for the song!

We also read that a video was done for the song?

The video was shot a month ago and will be released on the 13/1. I’m excited to see it! The same day I was recording backing vox for the new Roxette-album. It was a very exciting day!

Will you be at the VIP premiere of the film?

Yes, me and Martinique will go to Stockholm for the premiere and there we will perform the song.
