Last week Swedish public radio P3 broadcasted programme “Livet är en fest” (Life is a party) with episode called “Halmstads pärlor, del 1” (Halmstad’s Pearls, part 1). Yesterday it was time for the second part with such pearls as “Svarte Rudolf” (accoustic song sang by Per Gessle) or “Farlig Terräng” (early Flickorna… demo by Gyllene Tider). The first 20 minutes of episode are dedicated to Roxette’s career including songs like “Neverending love”, “Listen to your hear” and extracts from interviews with Marie and Per in Swedish.

As The Daily Roxette informs on its Facebook page Swedish public radio P3 broadcasted the 25th episode of “Livet är en fest” (Life is a party) programme called “Halmstads pärlor, del 1″ (Halmstad’s Pearls, part 1). This radio programme included some of early Gyllene Tider and Marie Fredriksson’s gems like “Parkens paviljong” recorded in 1977 and songs from Strul and MaMas Barn record in good quality. Old interviews with both Marie and Per were used, but nothing new – except great music cuts – were revealed.
Next Thursday at 9 pm CET – second part will be aired. The second part will be on the Roxette’s career.
As you may know from The Daily Roxette article, EMI Music Sweden is going to release the box sets with the orginal, mostly Swedish albums of Marie Fredriksson, Per Gessle and Gyllene Tider on August 17th.
Ginza.se has recently revealed the covers of the first two album sets (Marie & Per) and tracklisting for both. Looking at the price it is very likely that these albums will be released in cardboard sleeves with no booklet inside. There are no bonus tracks either.
Swedish NGO BRIS (Children’s Rights in Society) has started an auction via auction website Tradera as part of the organisation’s 40th anniversary. The auction includes some Roxette and Gyllene Tider items.
Other items are a Beatles package, football team tshirts, many other CDs or signed picture frames.
BRIS supports children in distress and is a link between children, adults and the community. All support services build on volunteer work and financial support, primarily from corporate cooperation and private persons, and to a small extent governmental grants.
Traderahas set up a special website for this campaign, where the auctions started yesterday, March 17th and will go on until March 31st. The collected money will be used for various help actions for children.

Q&A night on Twitter.
Sep 14
The yesterday’s night Per Gessle answered for many questions which he didn’t really do in the last few weeks. And for your information, there are a lot of interesting and mysterious answers:
Q from memami04: Will there be meet&greets like you did at the Party Crasher Tour?
A: Hope we can make a few. No promises, though.
Q from madonnajanetj:Can’t wait for NOTP in Antwerp. Will get a full, proper Rox Tour in 2010??:-)
A: Hmmm, I’d buy a ticket….
Q from frulampa: Is there a live CD or live DVD from “Room-Service”-Tour 2001???
A: Well, yes…. it’s lying around somewhere unreleased… something for another box maybe….
Q from rosa_73: What did you do in Italy? Did you buy new Ferrari?
A: Just had to check out that 458 Italia….
[Ferrari 458 Italia]
Q from memami04: Did you feel comfortable by doing Demos at Tits&ass again. Or do you like doing songs without Demos anymore?
A: Since I’m writing a bit for Marie there has to be some kind of demo around. I love doing simple ones at T&A.
Q from shneedelwoods: Writing songs & making demos? Solo stuff or brilliant new rox material? any plans yet?
A: I’m writing for Roxette, myself and GT. You never know what’s gonna happen, do you? Better be prepared….
Q from memami04:gessle over europe is coming! But when? Can’t wait to Watch the Show again. Do you Love the idea of a GT Tour again?
A: GT Tour? Hell, yes!
Q from RoxAnna1978: how do you feel abot the songs (demos) you have recorded now-do they sound good?
A: Do they sound good? Are you joking?
Q from elcondetin: What’s your mood nowadays in the demo writing/recording world.. uptempo slow -mid? How feels writing for Marie again? natural?
A: Nothing’s changed. I write anything. Anything to please me. Been writing some duets though (for a change).

PATS, Gothenburg band, was a guest in Swedish Radio P3′s “Sommarplågor” (Summer songs). They came to the studio and interpreted one of Gyllene Tider’s hits – “Det är över nu“. As long as you understand Swedish you may laugh or, let’s say, don’t like it. After all it’s all about Gessle’s money again…

Mats “MP” Persson, the Gyllene Tider’s guitarist and co-writer of “Listen To Your Heart”, was not only celebrating his 50th birthday on February 26 this year. He also got married with Åsa-Caroline, his long-time girlfriend in the beginning of August, Per Gessle revealed on his Twitter site. If you want to know more about MP, read 2004 interview for The Daily Roxette.
Congratulations!
