Roxette 30th Anniversary Tour: Magnitogorsk, Russia – November 7 – #5

Tonight’s show happened in the ice hockey team’s, Metallurg Magnitogorsk’s local arena. I shouldn’t even mention, because it seems so natural already, but Marie appeared barefoot on stage, wearing her hot white jacket. Per’s glam rock jacket found its owner again and the crowd could see it during the first songs. The venue wasn’t sold out, but it still looked quite packed and the crowd seemed to enjoy the concert a lot.

Perfect Day and Queen of Rain found their way back to the setlist, so it was the same as on the first 3 shows.

Roxette 30th Anniversary Tour: Novosibirsk, Russia – November 4 – #4

Today it is the 25th anniversary of Listen To Your Heart becoming Roxette’s second US No. 1. It’s nice to have a gig on such days to celebrate. Marie entered the stage barefoot tonite again and Mr G left his glam rock jacket behind. Could be because it was a club concert, so it might have been hot inside anyway.

2 songs (Perfect Day and Queen of Rain) were left out vs. the first 3 concerts (thanx for the info, Evgeny Perekopskiy), probably because the show started appr. one hour later than planned. According to some fans, the reason of the delay was poor organization. The concert should have started at 8 pm, but there were still many people outside. They were not let in and had to wait for long in the freezing cold outside until they got access into the venue. Nevertheless, the gig was fab and the crowd was loud, singing along during the whole concert. The venue, Klub Otdykh looked quite cozy and cool.

Roxette 30th Anniversary Tour: Krasnoyarsk, Russia – November 2 – #3

After 2 days off, the 3rd gig of the XXX tour happened in Krasnoyarsk tonight. It seems that relaxing for 2 days paid off, since according to fans’ opinion who were there, as well as according to the videos we could see online, this gig was the best from the 3 so far. Marie also felt much better vs. the previous show. Surely, it’s not only because of the fact that she kicked her shoes off, but since her solo tour it seems that being barefoot is a kind of lucky charm and it has magical effects. You rock, Marie!

The setlist was the same as on the first 2 concerts.

Per’s opinion about the show:

Micke Syd makes a stand for more organ donation – VOTE!

If you are following the adventures of Micke Syd (Gyllene Tider’s fab drummer) on Facebook, you surely know that his son, Dennis had to go through a kidney transplantation earlier this year. The donor was Madeleine, Dennis’s mother. The whole family is very supportive when it comes to organ donation. Living with Dennis’s health problem for so many years makes it even more understandable.

Micke Syd is the spokesman of MOD (Mer organdonation = More Organ Donation) and the latest support he provided them with was that he and Dennis took part in the charity show of Postkodmiljonären (= Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?). They played brilliantly and won 75,000 SEK for the organization MOD. Now there is a chance to add 10,000 SEK to this by a simple vote on Micke Syd’s and Dennis’s winner dance posted on Postkodmiljonären’s Facebook page. To vote, you just have to click ”like” for the video HERE. Simple as that. Give the organization a chance! Thanks for your help in voting!

Roxette 30th Anniversary Tour: Khabarovsk, Russia – October 30 – #2

The 2nd show of the tour was in Khabarovsk tonight. The band was in top shape and sound-wise the whole gig improved since the premiere concert in Vladivostok. Real Sugar sounded even better! What we didn’t mention in the premiere gig article is that now there is a very short adrenalin intro while the band is getting on stage and before they start off with Sleeping in My Car. Great we have an intro like this on tour!

As we could see it already in the soundcheck video Per shared earlier today, Marie was sitting while singing Perfect Day. On the concert, she was sitting during 3 songs: The Heart Shaped Sea, Perfect Day and Watercolours In The Rain. According to Roxers attending the concert, she didn’t feel comfortable with it. If you check The Heart Shaped Sea video below, you’ll see that it might have been because the chair was set too high. They tried to use the chair during her solo tour, but she refused it there. She chose to perform barefoot instead. And it helped. Maybe it would help now, too, who knows. Kick of them shoes, Marie! OK, now switching to serious mode, watching the video with Queen of Rain, it seems Marie has a difficult time. We really hope that the fans’ positive energy can help her to get better. Sending all the positive vibes towards her virtually as well, from all around the Universe! The songs sounded beautiful anyway!

Another thing to mention is that Chris is doing his lead guitar performance on this tour, too, after the band presentation, before Joyride. Today he played Nad Amurom Belim Parusom (sorry for writing it phonetically, but somehow I can’t use cyrillic letters here…). The setlist was the same as in Vladivostok.
