Last chance to vote in Top Rox 2011

It’s almost one month since we started our last survey Top Rox 2011 on Roxroom, so it’s time to summarize all results in all ten categories where you can vote for your favourite Roxette album, single, tour, album sleeve, album booklet, best Per’s and Marie’s haircut, best Per’s and Marie’s album and also best and worst Roxette video. So here we have last 7 days to vote in this survey. So far about 200 fans voted, but the more fans will participate, the more precise results we will get about which Rox item fans like the most.

The results – I do believe interesting results – will be published day or two after.

Vote here till January 15th and thanks for your participation.

Duet featuring Helena Josefsson on Swedish film soundtrack

Helena Josefsson has recorded a duet “My Own Worst Enemy” together with Robert Petersson, lead singer of the Swedish rock group Takida, which will be part of the soundtrack of the Swedish film “Hamilton – in the interest of the nation”.

The film will have its VIP-premiere in the Stockholm on January 10th and will be in the cinemas on January 13th, according to Svensk Filmindustri. The thriller is based on a book with the same title written by Jan Guillou in 1988. Guillou has written 11 novels featuring Carl Hamilton, a fictional Swedish military spy and hero.  Several characters in the books are based on actual people. For example, Jan Guillou is the basis of a character called Erik Ponti.

The song is written by Måns Tristan Sohlman aka Tristan. “I got the request from my management to perform this song and I thought it was a great song when I first heard it,” tells Robert Pettersson to Dagbladet,”it has a very typical film sound already in the intro, and part of it could be called rock”.

A video to the song has been recorded as well, which will have its premiere on Monday. A trailer of the film can be found on Youtube:

The film has even a website and an account in Twitter and Facebook.

Per Gessle writes soundtrack for new Jonas Åkerlund film

Per Gessle has just confirmed what we already suspected in November: that the soundtrack he was working on is indeed for “Small Apartments”, the new film by Jonas Åkerlund. Per has just written the following on Facebook:

Yes Box Alright! I’ve done the soundtrack, based on the Son of a Plumber vibe, for Jonas Åkerlund’s new movie “Small Apartments”. The music has been recorded at the AGM Studio and as expected the mighty Mr Lundquist & Mr Ofwerman have been the cornerstones. The film? Well, it’s a “dark comedy” (based on the S.A. novel) starring Matt Lucas, Billy Crystal, James Caan and Peter Stormare in the leading parts. And yes, it’s a wonderful movie. And yes, there will be a soundtrack. And yes, we have to release it on vinyl as well. I’m really proud to be part of this. Cheers, P. PS. Jonas is God.

So if we didn’t have enough with Tourism 2 (or 2rism or 2Rism or however it will be called) and the tour.. there is even more for our ears this year.
