Oh Cologne! What a night!!! Great gig indeed. Super duper crowd and Marie in top shape. Broad daylight but it didn’t matter – we had a blast! Thanx a million everyone for showing up! How many were you? 11000? 12000? More? I dunno, doesn’t matter, we had a field day. Woohoo!

  1. Hmmm, I really don’t like how all my “colleagues” do their work. I am a journalist myself and when I visit an event I really DO some research. But it seems all of those who visited the concert think the balloons came from Roxette. Open your eyes, guys, it’s so easy to see who let them fly…

  2. Kirsten, but if they watched the gig from the end of the field, so it’s not so easy to say who did that.

Anyway – WDR claims there was “Silver blue” 🙂

  3. No Silver Blue! And yes, you might be right. But as a journalist you can’t just write what you see, you have to get your info right. And by the way: I was in the back yesterday and we blew up at least 20 balloons….

  4. Viva Colonia, of course!! The crowd was cheering and sining and I think Per and Marie were a bit surprised about such a huge reaction. At least it looked like that from the back!!

  5. Berliner Luft in Berlin, nothing in Frankfurt and Sing, mein Sachse, sing in Leipzig. 🙂

    • No, the debate isn’t about balloons but journalists who don’t do their work right. 😉

  6. Here is another link with pictures from the show in Cologne:

There is also an article about the concert, but for some reason the link doesn’t work, you can see only the pictures.

And I agree with you, the best Roxette-journalists are the fans! I think it’s always great to receive such detailed and interesting information here on roxetteblog!! Thank you, everybody! 🙂

  7. A great concert, once again! Only negative point was the strong daylight, which spoilt the light show. We were lucky with the weather! And yes, Marie & Per were really surprised by the strong reaction. Also the cheering at the end was extraordinary strong and lasting. They were talking when bowing and I had a glimpse of hope for an extra-encore, something acoustic. Unfortunately they weren’t prepared. 😀

  8. I know, I know. On the other hand it could always be the first gig they add some prepared extra song. 😉

  9. Had the same hope for a extra extra song..but well..I’m afraid it was not allowed to play longer than …how early was it?? 23:00?? I don’t remember. The Viva Colonia thing was amazing!! Per was sort of shaking his head watching the response. It was a BIG party..now I know why I wanted to go to Cologne. The same experience with the Party Crasher tour. Cologone is carnival!!!!! Great people!! But the location was not the best choice. I feel sorry for the people standing behind.
