Here is a very positive review, nice to read: http://www.entertainment-focus.com/music/articles/roxette-–-tuesday-15th-november-2011-–-wembley-arena-london
From Darren Hayes Twitter: ‘course I’m gonna watch Roxette and not in pj’s ;). Listen to your Heart one of best pop songs ever written!
My teenage years of the early 90s weren’t always simple, with friends obsessing over The Smiths, The Stone Roses and Nirvana, but Roxette was always my band. Now, 20 years on, and having finally watched them live for the first time a few nights ago in London, I was transported back to a 15 year olds world, once again with the optimism of three chord melodic pop songs, delightfully transcending the last two decades with an edgier, rockier contemporary twist. Marie still manages to captivate the crowd, and ‘that’ voice just keeps delivering, whilst I get the impression that Per’s also 15 again, guitar in hand, with 12,000 people singing his time deifying songs back at him.
Thanks for reminding me what a huge part of my life you were, and with tickets for Manchester on order, see you again next year for round two!
Was the show recorded? I don’t remember seeing any signs?
Well, they filmed for the video walls obviously and maybe for the tour docu.
I was there and what voice marie has and so beautiful and what a show .i have been waiting 25 years to see them live and came over from belfast to london for this very special time for the gig..When i heard them they were sounding better than the originals and i was blown away by this..and to think a sell out of 12000 without any uk tv or newspaper advertising,,,what would happen if everyone new that they were back the pop world would be turned upsidedown,,( ITS BETTER NOT TO LET A CAT INTO THE BIRD CAGE)??maybe this is why they dont,, maybe emi again dont want this ??who knows
ALL I KNOW IS THAT THE BEST BAND EVER TO ROAM THIS EARTH ARE BACK AND ITS WONDERFUL TO SEE MARIE SO STRONG AND GETTING STRONGER AS I HAVE NOTICED OVER THE PAST YEAR WATCHING ALL THE LIVE SHOWS ..THANK YOU ROXETTE AND PLEASE KEEP IT UP WE ALL LOVE YOU ALL XX..
do you think we will be able to get a video/dvd of the nite in wembley
