World Tour 2011: Press conference in Kazan

Tatar-inform.ru informs that tomorrow at 12.00 AM local time (+3 GMT) Roxette press conference will broadcasted on the site. The conferece is said to be held today, though. Roxette will spend 3 days in Kazan, before they kick off to Samara. And yes, they are in Russia now.

Update 2 – quotes from the conference:

  • 80% of the tickets to Kazan show were sold
  • Rehearsals take place from 12 till now (4 pm)
  • On March 1st Roxette will have a cultural programme – Kazan Kremlin and so on.
  • About 25 songs will be performed, 3 songs from the new album will be included.
  • The show will last for about 100 minutes.
  • Kazan is the best selling city among other Russian ones.

    Update 3 – Expressen reports from Kazan and quotes the tour manager:

  • Until August Roxette will have sold 1 million tickets.
  • This is one of the biggest Swedish tours ever, Roxette only competing with themselves.
  • All 6 dates in South Africa are sold out (?).
  • They had to add 4 (?) dates due to popular demand in Germany.

    2. OH NO!! not again that super-short white haircut for Marie. She looked so stunning good and young on those new promo-photos with the longer hair.

      Could someone please hide shaver and scissor from Marie’s hairstylist!?

    4. @RealSugar: I know i thought the same!!! She just looks so much better with the longer hair!! Not sure why she wants to keep it soooo short?! Anyway we’ll see how it looks all styled up! She can still look great if only she’d let that hair grow out a bit : P

    7. Marie’s hair does look whiter and shorter, yes!! It looks better when she let them grow and let the “brown” roots show. Looks more natural – but hey, she looks good. Looks like her old self. I guess she likes the short hair.

      Can’t wait to see what they play and how the stage will look like. I hope they put the whistling back in Joyride and the balloons!!

    12. 1 million tickets? Do they mean actually sold, or sold to ticket agencies? Would like to think they’ve sold that many as that would be amazing.
