  1. http://kazan.kp.ru/online/news/840057/
    in brief:
21-year old girl and her cousin stayed in the same hotel as Roxette in Kazan.
They two had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Next to them there was a group of about 10 persons who were in a very good mood but they tried not to attract attention . Suddenly a girl recognized that a blond woman was a singer from Roxette.
After the dinner the girl and her cousin meet Marie and Micke in the hall and asked for an autograph. Marie said it was a pleasure and signed twice, for both of them. A small boy also asked to make a foto. Marie said of course and Micke stepped aside. But he was asked to be on the foto too. Micke was very surprised but glad.
Then they also spent some time in the lift together when Marie asked the girl about her and her life. In the end Marie invited them to the show and said it was a pleasure to talk to her and she hugged them both.
The girl says:” It was a feeling that it was not a world star but a person that I know for a long time. She asked me about things that even my friends don’t ask… They are really nice people. And it seems they have so tender relations. They always keep each other hand.”

  2. @Bianchitta: what a lovely stoy!!!! Thanx for posting it. As Rox said in some documentary – “for me it’s just one minute, and to fans it means a great deal”… surely does.

  3. You are welcome 🙂 I also want to pay your attention that this 21-year old girl is not a fan but still she was really very fascinated by Marie!! 🙂

  5. I thought they were going to do 25 songs?

Like the setlist, pleased to see Way Out. Would have loved Speak to Me rather than Only When I Dream.

    COME TO THE UK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I’m really dissapointed. Why they’re using this ridiculous background again? Dressed For Success opening again? Opportunity Nox, The Big L, Perfect Day, 7Twenty7 are very unnecessary. Where’s CrashBoomBang? So many good songs could have been played… but I’m happy about Watercolours in the Rain. Sweet surprise!

  7. Love Marie’s boots! also, Helena’s backing vocals on SIMC are really good. Hard to tell much about the show from just a small clip at the beginning. Hope some video of the new songs appears soon (as well as WCITR and SMT)

  8. I think Opportunity Nox is TOTALLY necessary. It’s one of the latest Roxette songs I like the most, and played live is a very energetic track!

  9. It’s so disappointing. The same background, boring setlist, poor sound based just on the gitars.
It looks so cheap and so far away for we can see on the concerts of other artists… :(((((

  10. @jacobsen66: Don’t be dissapointed. You just save quite some money because you don’t need to go to the concerts!

    • I’m sure you can sell them online. don’t worry, no need to see roxette live if you are dissapointed.

  11. It might just be my personal taste: I would prefer to have one single topic here on RXB again for each concert. It was so nice to have a structured overview about the concerts last summer with a new topic for each of them. Including the setlist, links to photos and videos, media reports and other interesting facts and stories about the concert. The way it is now turns out to be quite confusing and does not sum up each concert properly. Would be great to return to the old style since this comments section is a mix of the really interesting facts and personal comments of very different quality…

    • Hi, we don’t plan to leave everything in the comments, but have 1 article covering more than one concert, if possible. I have posted something longer below.

      Thanks for your input! 🙂

  12. I Saw Per in Ghent in Belgium. It was the “cheapest” look a like concert but was the most exciting experience I lived in my whole life. I totally agree that the scen is quite old fashioned and that they should bring at least some big screen on tour but at the end the most important is there and is the music they do.

  13. Personally I think Opportunity Nox is one of their BEST live songs. I simply looooovvve it! And I don’t care much about the stage. Normally I don’t see much of it when I watch Marie, Per and the gang kicking some ass. I enjoy the music and the sight of them. That’s all I need.

Re the single topics I agree with silverblue. It guarantees a better overview (as long as everybody posts the right links into the right topics)

    And here we go:
http://www.tatar-inform.ru/photo/2011/03/01/954/16351/#hl (36 photos from the gig)
http://kazan.kp.ru/photo/gallery/30029/ (6 photos from the gig)

  14. Thought that it’s gonna be a Greatest Hits setlist. And they played 22 instead of at least 25… Thomas Johansson said it’s gonna be 25 to 30 songs to be played.

    Where are:

    Almost Unreal ???
    Crash! Boom! Bang! ???
    Queen Of Rain ???
Milk & Toast & Honey (at least) ??? (no songs from Room Service at all, why ???)
    You Don’t Understand Me
    Stars ???
    Hotblooded ???
She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore ???

I am very very disappointed about the songs…

  15. I think the quotes about 25-30 songs have been taken too literally. I always assumed that to mean the number of songs being rehearsed or considered for the tour – not that they would all be played for every single show.

Joyride is still their best-selling album, so it makes sense to include a lot of material from it. Many people attending these shows will be seeing Roxette live for the first time – either because of age or because they have not been able to afford the cost until now.

All the BIG hits are there, plus a lot of other good songs. I don’t really see what the problem is…

    just my opinion 🙂

  16. I thought it would be more hits-orientated setlist, but it’s almost the same as it was last year. Which is okay to me as I really like last summer’s gigs.

Love that they added “Spending my time” – I thought it would be great to include something from PoP and RS as it’s 25 years since they have started.

And please remember – all you not-so-satified-fans-asking-for-refund, a new playlist and new songs would mean that Marie would have to learn them by heart. I know she had a lot of time, but I think the decision to do the same set as the last year, was made just because of Marie. Anyway – I like it.

  17. Thank you for your input!
The reason why we thought it would be better to group the articles instead of one per concert is that we experienced in the past times (NOTP and last summer) that input, articles, videos get less and less as the tour goes on, we had some rather empty articles a couple of times.
We will see how it goes on, if we see there is enough material for each concert, we will make an article per concert.
But for example, in cases where they play 2-3-6 nights in a row in the same place, I doubt there will be THAT much new material in the last nights.
So we will see in the next concert if it’s worth adding 1 article or not.
Thanks for reading and your feedback and participation! 🙂

  18. And I love the current setting. Simple, concentrating on what we are here for: MUSIC, rocking on stage, just musicians, their instruments and voices. And the audience.
What else can we ask for?
One of my favourite artists, Melissa Etheridge, performs even in a more “simple” way and she blew me away the first time I saw her live. This is what I wanted for Roxette, and here we have it (they still have to work a bit on improvisation, but it will happen, I am sure of that ;))
Can’t wait to see them live again!
PS: The complain-negative-vibe is at TDR – we prefer the positive-happy-cool-vibe here 😉

  19. Well said Judith!
I don’t know what the fans are really expecting….guys and gals you wont’ get the Roxette back from the Crash or Room service era and it’s up to Marie & Per what they want to perform really! What works for them best live and I’m sure that they will incorporate some of the other hits as well. Nobody will ever be satisfied (facts in life really). I am really happy that we get to see this great band live again even if Marie can not move and perform like she used to! Watercolours in the rain – wow. Do you guys realise when last this was performed live – Joyride tour!!!!! I so wish that I get to hear this live for the 1st time! I am actually going to try not to watch the youtube cam vids as I want my concert experience to be fresh and exciting! Seriously people stop with the negativity Roxette is back!!!!

    • I have never seen Watercolours live I think.. I didn’t go to any Joyride show. And Spending my time.. wow.
We know it is hard to satisfy everybody and negative feedback is fine when it is founded and with a suggestion to improve. Critisise to critisise is simply boring and spreads negativity – something we don’t need over here 🙂

  20. Floppy thanks for the pics links – these pictures are fabulous – look how happy Per & Marie looks.
It must be stressful for them to do this; especially for Marie, but they are such pro’s.
Thanks keep ’em coming – my collection needs it! 🙂

  21. Puh LTYH sounds very very bad, Gessle saved this song at the bridge. That wasn’t Marie’s best day I think

  22. Oh, thank you so much for this blog and these topics. It’s so great to be able to follow the whole tour instead of just going to see one show and read the magazines – an opportunity we didn’t have during the times of Joyride. 🙂

I really enjoy the live videos, both old and new. It’s so clear why it took Marie so long time to climb back to stage with Roxette, since she’s lost so much ability to move her body. But, thank God, she hasn’t lost her ability to sing (or has got it back). It’s gonna be interesting to see how her ability to move will develop during the tour, she moves herself clearly better than last year already.

About the scene and music.. I don’t need big lights, it’s the music that counts. But a screen would of course be nice, so many fans want to see them better too. 🙂 I enjoy every performance, no one can have a good day everyday. Marie sings well and when she has a good day, she makes it better than during the old days – she puts more emotions to the songs. 🙂 I can’t wait to see Watercolours live again! 🙂
