Comment from Per Gessle
Oh yea Quito! Thanx for a wonderful evening, thanx for singing along (does everyone in Equador know our songs by heart????), thanx for showing us your beautiful town, we’re certainly having a blast here. Thanx for your support tonight, it felt like we all were one, we had a fab time even though we couldn’t play LTYH due to Marie’s (lack of) voice. Next time we do it in a ten minute version! LOVE, P&M&Co

Concert was due to take place on April 17, but later – after Caracas was announced (April 17) and Bogota (April 19) cancelled, it changed the date. Over 9,000 people bought tickets to that very first Roxette concert in the country. The group was really popular in the 90’s and looking at the clips from the concert you can still see how popular all Roxette songs are there.

Ok seriously when is this set list going to change???
You expect one change with It’s possible I think. And I they add IP, they will surely remove something from the playlist, lol. It works this way, unfortunately.
I think PG needs to relook a few tracks in general. As a fan I love most songs but in the returning touring countries they need to adapt it a bit – change is good. Would have loved to hear Speak to Me live but probably not gonna happen. I’ll settle for It’s Possible, love the track. If I could have my way I’d want to hear more Fireworks, Run to you, Way out!
And why are they so quiet about this live dvd project? I really hope it does happen soon!
I am as well a little surprised Per, Marie and the band are still sticking to the old set list on their second visit to South America. I am especially surprised since the Travelling album seems to be more suitable for live performace than Charm School. Songs like “Lover Lover Lover” and “Touched by the Hand of God” as well as “Me & You & Terry & Julie” and “It’s possible” are perfectly custom-made for Marie’s stage performace. And Heidi mentioned an important issue as well: If the new songs are supposed to be on the live dvd (which would make a lot of sense for all of us long-term fans) they shouldn’t hesitate to present and try them really soon. Could it be possible they keep them in their sleeves for the “big” Buenos Aires concert which is supposed to be recorded? It is also strange that Per mentioned the new songs (plural!) before the Caracas show and apologised for not playing them due to the cancelled sound check. Does anyone know if there was a proper sound check before the Quito concert? Hmmmm quite mysterious….. but the next or the one after the next concert will tell us more.
and do we know what is happening with Marie’s voice? She looks very energetic and healthy in the clips but it’s like her voice completely closed up on her last night. I am surprised that they did not cancel or postpone as it it very easy to do further damage to the vocal chords if they are not rested properly…especially seeing as a DVD is apparently being recorded in less than a week!
anyhow…I hope it is nothing very serious <3
