Roxette is #2 on Billboard Boxscore chart

It’s the second time that Roxette enters Billboard Boxscore chart that shows the concert with the biggest gross sales. As not every concert is reported to Billboard, we get those pieces of information randomly. This time Live Nation decided to go out with two Brisbane concerts. It gave Roxette #2 position in the chart.

@Troyzee: Roxette, you still rock! Great night!

Third Brisbane date was a mistake

It turned out that the latest press release about new South American tour dates included a mistake – not concerning any of the Latin America concerts though.

We got reply from Live Nation Austriala & New Zealand that the third Brisbane date on February 23, 2012 is incorrect and “it’s very unlikely to see any further concert” there.

100,000 tickets sold Down-Under – two new shows, Perth dates rescheduled

Live Nation Australia & New Zealand has added two more shows in Australia on its website. In addition, the two shows in Perth have been rescheduled and are now end of February.

Per Gessle was interviewed by Cameron Adams for Herald Sun

Nobody really wanted to tour us in Australia, eventually we found someone who was interested. I think we’ve sold more than 100,000 tickets in Australia so far. We’re very surprised by the reception for this tour all over the world. Suddenly we’re playing big arenas all over again, it’s mindblowing.

With these additions and changes the Australian leg of the tour looks like this at the moment:

Feb 14, 2012 – Brisbane
Feb 16, 2012 – Sydney 1
Feb 17, 2012 – Sydney 2 – sold out
Feb 18, 2012 – Melbourne – sold out
Feb 20, 2012 – Adelaide
Feb 22, 2012 – Melbourne – Pre-sale start on Sept 19th, on sale from Sept 22nd (TV-ad)
Feb 24, 2012 – Brisbane – Pre-sale start on Sept 19th, on sale from Sept 22nd (TV-ad)
Feb 28, 2012 – Perth – moved
Feb 29, 2012 – Perth – moved

Brisbane and Melbourne close to sold-out

Live Nation Australia & New Zealand has opened a new waitlist on Ticketek.co.au for those who are interested in additional concerts in Brisbane and Melbourne. According to our information, these two gigs are really close to be announced as sold-outs. The similar waitlist was started back in August when tickets for the very first Sydney show were snapped up in record time. So it seems that six concerts in Australia is not the end of Roxette’s charm tour down there.

Missed out on tickets to Summer’s hottest concert?

If you are a Roxette fan and want to see another Brisbane or Melbourne concert added to the tour, show your interest and waitlist now!

New TV ads for Australian tour

Live Nation Australia & New Zealand on its Facebook page has published 5 new TV ads for Australian Roxette tour. You might remember the first ad for the very first Sydney concert which we published here few weeks ago. Have a look here for more:

Feb 17 – Sydney 2

Six shows in five cities – 2012 Down-under Tour confirmed

As we have informed before, all major Australian cities will get its Roxette concert February 2012. Live Nation Australia & New Zealand has just announced the final schedule for Roxette.

It seems us Aussies just can’t get enough of Roxette – the Swedish duo have just added a heap of new dates to their 2012 tour Down Under!

Fans of the 80s band who missed out on tickets to their sold out show in Sydney have been given another chance to see Marie Freriksson and Per Gessle live in action.

The ‘Joyride’ singers were originally supposed to come over for just one performance on Friday February 17 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, but due to popular demand they’ve now added a stack of other shows at venues across the country as well as an additional Sydney date!
