World Tour 2012: Roxette to rock Melbourne on 18th February
As it is Sunday in Australia already, so we have a glimpse of what Australian fans will be able to read in tomorrow’s edition of Herald Sun – there is an interview with Per Gessle and – yes – another concert announcement – this time Melbourne for 18th February, 2012.
“I’m a melody guy,” Per says. “I’ve tried to experiment with beats and grooves and basslines, but at the end of the day, I don’t feel comfortable with it. It’s just in my nature.”
Today, 25 years after their first single was released, Roxette are overseeing a few hits of their own. They are on a world tour that will play to one million people and reaches Australia in February.
“I think Marie needed to do Roxette to prove she can do it,” Gessle says. “She is a survivor and this is a big victory for her. I see every week of this tour how she grows and gets more confident.
>> Roxette, Rod Laver Arena, February 18. Book it: 132 849 (from August 29).
We were also informed that there is a chance for Perth and Brisbane concerts. Stay tuned for more confirmations!

World Tour 2012: Second date for Sydney
This news has just appeared in our mailbox. According to Daily Telegraph…
SWEDISH pop sensations Roxette have answered the call of their Australian fans and will perform a second Sydney Entertainment Centre concert on February 16.
Per Gessle said he and singer Marie Fredriksson had been stunned by the demand for tickets to their first Australian show in more than 15 years.
“The response to this whole tour has been crazy,” Gessle said. “We couldn’t really believe it when we heard the Sydney show had sold out because it has been so long.”

Tickets for the new concert go on sale on August 29.
Rumours have it that additional dates for Melbourne and Perth will be announced this weekend.

World Tour 2011: Sao Paulo Video Bootleg
In courtesy of Bianca from RoxetteBrasil.net we are happy to share with you the unofficial DVD bootleg recorded from the VIP area with a Panasonic Lumix ZS7 in HD (720p) on the Sao Paulo concert, April 19. Our Brazilian friends used 4shared to upload it, just because they did not have a good bandwidth to seed in a Torrent. Disc 1 is zipped in four parts and Disc 2 in three parts. When the download is complete, you will have to burn the VIDEO_TS folder stright into DVD.

I think you’ll be quite happy in that case Dianne – perhaps grab the Daily Telegraph on Saturday and the Herald Sun on Sunday and you should be well-informed by the time the weekend is over!
We suggest you get hold of the Herald Sun on Sunday, Per has a few things to discuss with some Australian journalists in about 17 minutes…
Daily Telegraph is a Sydney paper and Herald Sun is a Melbourne tabloid. So at least these two cities will be included in the schedule! Stay tuned.
