Cologne and Leipzig concerts (almost) sold out

As it appears 2 more concerts in Germany are close to sold out after Berlin. Cologne is already sold out at both big ticket vendors, while the availability for Leipzig goes on/off at getgo.de and eventim.de. According to Roxette’s homepage, 53,000 of 60,000 tickets in Germany (excl. the Audi gigs, as it appears) are sold. The Hessentagsarena in Oberursel/Frankfurt has capacity for up to 30,000 visitors.

Have a look at our World Tour 2011 page for the complete tour plan so far.

Thanks to Rene for the Cologne tip!

4-minute video documentary on Austrian website!

The Austrian website PULS4 features a 4-minute video about Roxette’s comeback, including new interview snippets with Marie & Per, scenes from the recordings and a look into the past. The video is dubbed in German, but you may translate the attached text version to understand the content.

Interesting detail: They are quoted to stay one year on the road! Per already told in the recent Mix Megapol interview that they’ll stay on tour until November.

Update: It seems like all this footage is a part of “Charm school” elektronic press kit – Marie and Per were interviewed in Swedish and subtitled into English. Another German report – this time with those subtitles to be watched here at Yagaloo.com.

Roxette are back in the German singles Top 20 after 17 years!

The insider report by Roxette fan Gellner just got officially confirmed: Roxette’s new single “She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio) entered the official sales charts of Germany at #18! This is Roxette’s first Top 20 hit single since “Sleeping In My Car”, the lead single from “Crash! Boom! Bang!” in early 1994.

All singles after that failed to reach a Top 20 position, with “Wish I Could Fly” (#26) and “Stars” (#23) coming close in 1999. It’s clear that Roxette got more of an album band in these regions, with all studio albums since “Joyride” reaching a Top 3 position.

On the national radio charts the song climbed up to #20 after 22, 43 and 71 in Germany. In Austria it reached #27 after 52 and 44, while climbing from 63 to #49 in Switzerland.

The full sales charts with Roxette’s entry will be published on Friday. Source: Media Control

EMI Germany starts new website for Roxette

Roxette’s “official German website” got just launched on www.roxette.de. The site basically features the same content as www.emimusic.de/roxette – where the domain was previously forwarded to – but is styled in line with the Charm School artwork. It embeds content from Roxette’s official Facebook page and runs a contest to win signed “She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio)” singles. EMI used www.roxette.de already in the past to launch special sites for the “Room Service” and “Hits!” releases.

Music special about Roxette to be aired on German TV

The German TV channel “Sat1” (one of EMI’s cooperation partners for the “Charm School” release) will air an episode of it’s “Music Special” series about Roxette on February 17, 1:50 a.m. The 30 minute late-night special typically shows a documentary about an artist/band. We don’t know if the material will be new and unseen or just a subtitled/dubbed version of one of Roxette’s known documentaries.
