Two new shows in South Africa, sold-out Buenos Aires

After selling out four concerts in Cape Town and Sun City three months before the date the fifth one was added yesterday to the 2011 Roxette World Tour. The new date is The Superbowl in Sun City on Friday, May 13th. It means that not only Brazilian fans get to see Roxette five times this year 🙂

Update:

Due to a phenomenal response to ticket sales, there are now two extra concert dates released in SA on the 8th May at the Grand Arena, GrandWest Cape Town and 13th May at Superbowl, Sun City

Update no 2:
The first Argentinian date – Buenos Aires on April 4th – is (almost) sold out. Over 8,400 tickets were sold. The second BA show on April 5th went on sale in the last few days.

  1. Wow I never thought the Roxette support was still this strong in South Africa! Goes to show even after a sabatical of 10 years if you’re great like Roxette people will make a plan to get a ticket! 🙂

  6. Why do you think that the brazilians did not deserve to have more shows? We are some kind of leprosy? It was unnecessary to mention: “It means that not only Brazilian fans get to see Roxette five times this year”. When I posted that UOL (Brazilian Site) was selling the new single, you didn’t publish it. When I wrote in portuguese, “it’s not allowed”, but in spanish or italian, “it’s ok”… Did you know that we have http://www.roxettebrasil.net ? Did you know that LATIN AMERICAN site don’t represent us? Brazil is waiting for a show since Crash! Boom! Bang!. We are fans too (LIKE YOU). Respect us, please!

    To alexanddre: you really misreading my thoughts. the sentence “it means that not only Brazilian fans get to see Roxette live five times this year” is full of joy and happiness which I feel when I hear that many shows are sold-out in any part of the world. I’m so happy for Brazilian people that Rox will play 5 concerts there, that’s just great! So it was just a comparison – that South Africa will have the same number of concerts as Brazil. But now South Africa has 6 gigs, so they are winning somehow – but there is no bad feeling behind it! Just a simple mathematic and statistics 🙂

    As you might noticed – we don’t publish every information we get. We didn’t publish any info on this Charm school leak, cos we at RXB think it wasn’t really necessary to make headlines out of it. We did posted a piece of news regarding the Brazilian sale though.

    Btw. we are the English speaking site. Though 3 people who write here are German-speaking, we are always communicating in English between us. The same refers to our readers. We should comment and discuss in English only – no other languages should be used. But if someone does, we are here to say that we want to discuss in English.     I don’t think anyone here has bad feelings regarding Brasil. If interesting things happen there (or anywhere else) please tell us! It’s hard to check the web in several languages… 😉

  14. For some strange reason, Buenos Aires’ 2nd gig is selling faster than the 1st one did. I didn’t get my ticket for April 5th yet, I’m expecting to grab it next week. No Córdoba for me: too much expensive plane tickets, and seeing the same show more than twice doesn’t make sense to me.

    Btw, street advertising has not started yet. Posters of the February concerts just popped out now, so I suppose Roxette posters won’t appear until early March. That’s the production company’s custom, it seems.
