Marie Fredriksson appeared shortly on the  Danish TV show “Her er dit liv” (Here’s your life, DR) greeting Sanne and wishing her a fantastic night and ending the message saying she misses her so much! Sanne gets very emotional and talks a bit about what Marie has been through in the last 10 years, as well as herself and how they have both fought their way back to life.

Legendary “Parkens paviljong” on the Swedish Radio

As The Daily Roxette informs on its Facebook page Swedish public radio P3 broadcasted the 25th episode of “Livet är en fest” (Life is a party) programme called “Halmstads pärlor, del 1” (Halmstad’s Pearls, part 1). This radio programme included some of early Gyllene Tider and Marie Fredriksson’s gems like “Parkens paviljong” recorded in 1977 and songs from Strul and MaMas Barn record in good quality. Old interviews with both Marie and Per were used, but nothing new – except great music cuts – were revealed.

Next Thursday at 9 pm CET – second part will be aired. The second part will be on the Roxette’s career.

Marie Fredriksson picture on a charity calender

As Daily Roxette and this press release informed, a picture of Marie Fredriksson taken by photographer Caroline Roosmark, is featured in a charity calendar that the photographer has created for 2012. The calendar is called Women & Men of the Year 2012 and focuses on children poverty in Sweden.  The calendar can be purchased at Caroline Roosmark website and costs 169 SEK.

Marie appears on the May page of the calendar, as you can see on this picture.

 

Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle “Orginal Album Series” are out

As we have informed in the end of June, EMI Music Sweden is releasing “Orginal Album Series” 5CD boxsets of its most popular Swedish artists on 17th August. Despite expectations, only Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle’s sets will be out tomorrow; no info re Gyllene Tider’s albums.

You can purchase these two sets for SEK 159 each on Bengans.se – the official Roxette retailer.

According to information posted on the promotional poster these albums:

– are fully remastered from orginal tapes or CDs
– are in paper sleeves
– have orginal front covers
– have orginal tracklistings

New album sets from Marie Fredriksson, Per Gessle and Gyllene Tider

As you may know from The Daily Roxette article, EMI Music Sweden is going to release the box sets with the orginal, mostly Swedish albums of Marie Fredriksson, Per Gessle and Gyllene Tider on August 17th.

Ginza.se has recently revealed the covers of the first two album sets (Marie & Per) and tracklisting for both. Looking at the price it is very likely that these albums will be released in cardboard sleeves with no booklet inside. There are no bonus tracks either.
