The Official press release re Charm School Revisted:

Charm School Revisited – To be released November 28th

2011 has been a fantastic year for Roxette. A great comeback with a tremendous success both with the album “Charm School” and the ongoing world tour, which has been seen by more than 700 000 people all over the world.

Roxette will now end this year with a special package of the “Charm School” album, a 2-CD 6page digi pack including the original album and a bonus CD.

The additional CD includes “The Demos”, which is actually Per Gessles original demos for the songs on “Charm School”, most of them recorded in the T & A studio in his hometown Halmstad. A fascinating and interesting look into Per’s songwriting.

The bonus CD ends up with remixes of the singles “She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio)” and “Speak To Me”.

The album will be released on November 28th and will be available both as a digital and a physical product.

Per Gessle for The West Australian: I was a big Nirvana fan

Simon Collins of The West Australian has written a very positive article about Roxette’s current tour and success the band has been experiencing in the last months. Have a look at the full interview and here below you find the most interesting quotes from the Man.

About Marie’s illness and her recovery

“I would compare it to when you have some trouble with your computer, you have to restart the computer from scratch, and that is exactly what she had to do with her life.”

About China concert back in 1995

“It was all students and it was just a fantastic feeling to be part of it, I remember, everyone was just crying afterwards because there were two guys in the audience and they had this banner for the last song, and it said ‘One world, one unity’. I’ll never forget that.”

About grunge wave

“I was a big Nirvana fan, I really loved that band but it sort of destroyed that whole thing that we were part of – Bryan Adams, Roxette, Phil Collins . . . all that kind of stuff. That’s the nature of the game. Trends come and go and, if you’re lucky, you have your years.”

Roxette landed in Tel Aviv

Swedish duo Roxette have arrived to Israel earlier today. Per Gessle flew to Tel-Aviv at three in the morning with a direct flight from Frankfurt, accompanied by family and friends. Marie Fredriksson came with earlier flight. Along with Marie and Per – 30 crew members and 6 tons of equipment came to the Holy Land.

Currently Roxette concert is the most popular event in the country with no 1 on Eventim.co.il charts with several thousand tickets sold so far. No cameras are allowed in the open-air venue on Saturday.
