#gtsommar Rumours & facts: what do we know about the tour so far?

Officially? Not much except that the tour schedule and tickets prices are to be announced tomorrow at 10 am CET – in less than 14 hours from now. But as always there is a lot of articles published in the Swedish press and on popular social media networks, where one can find a lot of exciting rumours and gossips. All positive for now! 😉

The tour is organized by Live Nation and Gyllene Tider plans to play in 18 places across Sweden. No other Scandinavian country is on the list yet, but we cannot exclude possibility that GT might give a concert in Norway or Finland where they are relatively popular and known. At least they did this in the past.

In the Swedish Radio interview Göran Fritzson revealed that the 2013 summer tour will kick off in Halmstad on July 5. So everything should be over by the middle of August – 45 hectic days as it seems!

Various Swedish regional dailies and websites confirmed places where Gyllene Tider’s concerts are booked by now – this is the so-far list in the alphabetical order: Gothenburg, Gävle, Halmstad, Kalmar, Leksand or Falun, Lysekil, Ronneby, Stockholm, one concert in Scania (Malmö?). So we know (or don’t) 50% of places, most of them will be located in the south of Sweden where 80% citizens live. The tour will be obviously smaller comparing to the 2004 half a million gigant – no Ullevi stadium at this point. But you never know where the #gtsommar leads.

The sale should start in January, but surely not tomorrow, official sources confirm. All international fans will have at least few days to plan their trip to the jolly Svea Riket. Please register yourself on the Ticnet website in time, so you will avoid unecessary stress during the ticket sale.

The only official ticket vendor at this point in Ticnet.se – please avoid other resellers. Those who own European credit cards should not have any problems with purchase of tickets. If any problem occurs, please contact at +46 771-707070 with Ticket call centre. We expect that ticket prices will not be higher than SEK 400-500 per concert.

More (& confirmed) news tomorrow! Stay tuned!

Gyllene Tider is back!

Well, at least Gyllene Tider is back with a new facebook page – as The Daily Roxette informed earlier today. The page has already reached more than 23 000 fans in 1 day, after it’s been published.

GT

A cover picture was set on GT’s page with Per Gessle in the front, while all other members of Gyllene Tider (Micke Syd Andersson, Göran Fritzon, Anders Herrlin and Mats MP Persson) appeared a bit blurred in the background. EMI asked to remove that photo, so now you can only find it here and there on facebook or if you were quick enough, you could save it to your hard drive. 😉

First rumours about a possible GT album and tour appeared last year when Roxette was still touring. We also wrote several articles about it. Here you can see what Per’s reaction was to all the rumours and Expressen’s article. So, should we still hold our horses or will there be anything happening to save money for this Juni, juli, augusti?

New Gessle solo album?

According to an article on Aftonbladet, Per Gessle is going to start recording a new solo album soon, “I have booked a studio for a solo album,” he tells Aftonbladet.

The reporter asks him about the rumous about a Gyllene Tider comeback next year, to what Per answers it’s a 50-50 chance that there will be a tour. “We have talked about it for many years, it’s not easy to come back. I think it’s a fantastic pop band, but it’s not in my hands.” He also explains that the other GT members are booked for other things, so it would be a lot of shifting and replanning to make it true.

He also tells that he doesn’t think the songs he wrote for his solo album could work with Gyllene Tider “It’s two different things”.

Per is not sure if a solo tour could be an alternative, “I don’t know, we thought of doing something with Roxette in 2014 so it might be good to take it easy,” and adds, joking, “I am not 50 anymore”.

My personal comment: In any case, 2013 is surely going to be an interesting year – and I don’t believe the “take it easy” part of it.

Romania gets ready for Roxette’s visit with interviews

Here are links to some interviews published today in Romanian websites and newspapers:

MagicFM (Romanian, use google translator)

Clujlife.com (English)

Most important from both is that he confirms there will be “more touring, more recording, more smiles!“, that they will “start again pretty soon. With the feedback we’re getting from Planet Earth, how can we ever stop?“. He doesn’t confirm with whom the touring and recording will be though 🙂

Gyllene Tider new album and tour next year?

Per Gessle tells in an interview with Expressen that he now wants to write in Swedish again and the best way to do it is with Gyllene Tider. This means new album and tour with Gyllene Tider, “maybe next year,” tells Per to Expressen.

He also comments that there will be more of this “new” Roxette (current Roxette set-up), even though he doesn’t mention when.

See you in Sweden (probably) next year!

Update: Per clarifies:

Hold your horses!!!!! Guess this reporter jumped the gun a bit. No decisions made that I know of. Sorry to disappoint.
