Gyllene Tider – Hux Flux, the album is out on 30th June!

Gyllene Tider will release their next album, Hux Flux on 30th June. The record will be available on CD, vinyl and on all streaming platforms of course.

This time the guys wanted to make sure everyone finds a color of their taste when it comes to vinyl (black, sun yellow, light green [same green as Micke Syd’s drum set]) and they also offer two different options if you are into CDs.

PG Roxette – “The Loneliest Girl In The World” single is out!

The long-awaited first PG Roxette single is finally out! It contains two songs, The Loneliest Girl In The World and Sunflower.

Video – directed by Fredrik Etoall – recorded for TLGITW is set to premiere at 3 pm CET on 3rd June on Roxette’s YouTube channel. You’ll be able to watch it HERE. Don’t miss it!

The Loneliest Girl In The World is the first taste from the upcoming album Pop-Up Dynamo!, which follows this September. TLGITW feels like a natural next step for Per Gessle. With exuberant energy, the sweetest of melodies and their trademark don’t-bore-us-get-to-the-chorus addictiveness, it’s a song that would fit comfortably into any era of Roxette’s hefty back catalogue. Whether you consider it to be the poppiest rock around or pop with a little rock edge, it’s unmistakably Roxette.

Mr. G tells:

I had so much fun making these recordings. I really tried to go back to the writing style I had in the early days of Roxette and it was a blast. Some of the songs are the best I’ve ever done. And to work with all my Roxette-friends once again was amazing. We stick together like glue.

Per says about Sunflower:

I wrote the song “Sunflower” a long time ago but finished it just in time for the PG Roxette project. And no, it will NOT be included on the new album. Only on this single.

So, as you see your only chance to have the song on a physical release is to get the limited edition 7″ vinyl single. You can order it at Bengans or Ginza. For the digital version click Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, YouTube (TLGITW, Sunflower) or other digital platforms!

Additional info from PG regarding Sunflower:

It was actually written in January 2002 (!) but I made a new demo in August 2020 which is the foundation of the recording that’s now being released. And, of course, the lyrics are new. The original version from 2002 only had the lyrics in the chorus.

Per Gessle to release Late Night Concert

This year’s surprise of Per Gessle on his birthday is that he releases his unplugged Late Night Concert recorded at Cirkus in Stockholm on 19th November 2020 without an audience, broadcast on TV4 on 16th December 2020. Besides being available digitally from 15th January on YouTube and all streaming sites, it will get a physical release too. Available on CD from 29th January and on vinyl from 12th March.

APRIL FOOLS’ DAY! – Per Gessle to release a metal EP

APRIL FOOLS’ DAY – As Per informed yesterday on his Instagram, he has been in the studio since days, working together with metal producer S. Karlsson. Mr. G(oth) is entering a new genre! It turned out the guys are working on a metal EP that will include 4 songs and will be released digitally on 1st May. 2 weeks later, on 15th May there will be a bonus single released on vinyl. The bonus single won’t be available on streaming platforms. Once the pre-order links to the very limited edition single (200 copies!) are available, we will let you know.

Gyllene Tider – GT40 Hits! Made in Halmstad

As we probably all expected, Gyllene Tider will release a greatest hits album in a few weeks. To make it more exciting, the guys decided to add 2 songs they never released before. One of them is Filmen om ditt liv, which is from the recordings of Finn 5 fel! and Detektiv, which is a leftover song from Samma skrot och korn. Per already talked about the latter one in the GT interview I did with him a couple of months ago before their farewell tour, after their last album came out:

PP: – You recorded 15 songs of which 14 made it to the album. What happened to that one missing?

PG: –  Hahaha, it will probably come out before xmas. It’s an uptempo one, very catchy. But it didn’t fit the album. We’re old fashioned.

So, it will indeed be out before Christmas as it seems. The release date is 6th December. And as an extra bonus, Du är en gangster, älskling! will also be included. So far it was released only on GT’s Halmstads pärlor compilation album.

The greatest hits album will be out on double LP and double CD. The vinyl will contain 24 songs, the double CD will contain… yeah, you guessed it: 40! The digital version will probably list the CD’s tracks.
