Roxette is no 1 in Poland

The sale for Warsaw gig (June 19th, 2011) has just started today at 10 AM CET. Thanks to huge media coverage, Roxette is no 1 on Eventim.pl Top Ten charts at the moment. I do hope they will stay there untill the Warsaw gig will be sold-out :-)

Official media partners for Polish gig are:
- RMF FM, the most popular Polish radiostation (30% of shares)
- TVN, one of the biggest private televisions in Poland (18% of shares)
- SHOW – a gossip magazine, 445,000 copies sold every second week
- SWIAT KOBIETY – a monthly magazine for women with over 400,000 copies sale
- INTERIA.PL portal – used by 8,000,000 users

So, looking at media partners, future is bright (hopefully!) for Roxette gig in Poland.

“Gessle over Poland” audio bootleg

So here it comes. Afer one year of preparations and waiting we have finally managed to end up our works on yet another bootleg from “Party crasher tour” – to be honest – one of the funniest Roxette fan experiances in the 21st century.

After more or less professional recordings from Prague, London, Amsterdam and Stockholm (with Marie) as well as live tracks on amazing double album “Gessle over Europe”, it’s time for Warsaw. Per Gessle and his band came to Poland to play just one concert in Stodola rock club in Warsaw on April 22nd. In fact Poland was the only country on the tour list where Roxette/Gessle have never played live before. Some sources say that there were around 1,000 people in the audiance, but on the other hand I was informed about 700 tickets sold. Who’s right, who’s wrong? Who really cares?

Back to the topic. It’s a bootleg and it’s a compilation. So the quality differs from song to song constantly. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s not so good, but that is how it works when you use five different recording sources. Give Slawek Sztul – he made it all possible (‘na na na’ on “The look” is his! :) and Blanka ‘Blunek’ Pentela – she has designed all the covers for “Gessle over Poland” included in the set – a big hand. I cannot forget about Ela ‘Blue_girl’ Krysinska – thank you for your help and contribution. It was amazing to work with you guys!

The very first look at “Gessle over Europe” DVD menu:

The most interesting things I’ve noticed while the watching:

- the interview parts with Per & fans pop up many times through the Cirkus concert – after “Dressed for success” [Why did Per decide to go on the club tour?], “The Party Pleaser” [Rosina & Dany spotted; Per tells more about how he appreciates the fans - especially those from South America], “She doesn’t live here anymore” [Interview with Ezequiel in Swedish; Per's story from Warsaw gig about some people from Siberia who came for the concert], “Late, later on” [The idea of this tour], “Do you wanna be my baby?” [Roxette/Gessle music as the soundtrack of our lives; Dany wants her husband to forgive her! :D ], “Doesn’t make sense” [The future?], “Joyride” [The little concerts suit Per the best], “Are you an old hippie, sir?” [About "The look"], “It must have been love” [The tour experiances], “Queen of rain” [Per tells more about the band members; fans from Spain, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico after the Cirkus concert]

- though there is a 12 years-old parental adivsory – both videos for “Kix” and “Do you wanna be my babe?” are censored

- some unseen footage from the tour was added to the 100x tribal homevideos
