Joyride – The Musical was nominated in all possible categories at the 2025 BroadwayWorld Sweden Awards and after the voting ended on 31st December, now winners of the categories are announced. Check it out HERE!
The 2025 Regional Awards honor regional productions, touring shows and more which had their first performance between 1st October 2024 through 30th September 2025. Local editors set the categories, readers submitted their nominees and then voted for their favourites.
During the period stated, Joyride was performed on two stages, at Malmö Opera and at China Teatern, the latter premiering on 11th September 2025. What’s interesting about the nomination for Best Sound Design Of A Play Or Musical is that Per Gessle won it, but Oskar Johansson is responsible for the sound design in Stockholm and Avgoustos Psillas was responsible for it in Malmö. Of course, the music originally comes from Per Gessle, Roxette.
