The band had one day break and they spent it in Düsseldorf. Christmas markets and Kraftwerk – the city has a lot to offer.
Before the gig, the organizers met Per and Lena to celebrate their sold-out concert.
This was the only show that was fully seated in Germany, so fans arrived only late, closer to the start of the show. The concert was to start at 20:00, but a lot of people were still in the hall, taking their drinks and stuff, so with a little delay, the gig kicked off at 20:10.
The band entered the stage first, then Per and Lena, as usual, and it was amazing to see that right at the second when Per entered, everyone jumped up from their seats. And when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE, on the floor and on the upper levels as well. Aaah, it was such a great feeling! And actually, everyone stayed standing during the whole show. During the ballads too.
Per greeted the crowd with a „Guten Abend!” and after introducing Lena, he asked her how she was doing. Lena’s answer was „Mir geht’s super!” and Per said „It’s Tuesday.” Lena said „yes, it’s Tuesday. Perfect! I love Tuesdays!” Haha.
During the band presentation Per asked Magnus how he was doing. He said he was doing great in the music city of Düsseldorf. They call it the Liverpool of Germany, they have many great bands and they have their own fab four, Kraftwerk. Magnus shouted „thank you for the music, Düsseldorf!” Per thanked for the history lesson.
Chris played Pippi Langstrumpf as the wild intro to Joyride, and it worked perfectly.
If I said it gets harder and harder to name the Top5 shows in Frankfurt, then what can I say in Düsseldorf…? Awesomeness on stage, amazingness off stage. Loud, dancing audience with some cool reactions and a lot of action on stage between the band members and Per and Lena. Yeah, I have to add this show to my Top5 too. Maybe even Top3! Haha.
