What’s your favourite part of “It all begins where it ends”?

We have asked our fans on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/RoxetteBlog which parts of the very new Roxette documentary are among their favourite for now. Here are some of those comments. If you like to give us some more hints about your favourite moments, please drop us a comment or write on our Facebook wall.

Kirsten OhlweinSo, working for the media myself I always look at it from the professional point of view as well. I love the decision to have the interview parts in b/w and the live parts in colour. I love the cutting and I love that they decided to just film for example Marie when she is not saying anything, just watching around, thinking – I could watch her doing “nothing” for hours. Really emotional and you feel that sometimes words are not needed. I love the music, the Hong Kong version of FLAF (where do I get that btw??). It’s a really professional docu, giving insights even though most of what Per and Marie saying is not exactly new to us fans.

I love how they switch back to the “view outside from the plane” to show there’s a new scenery coming. I love the silence coming up before Marie’s story is told. And I love the ending – when I am thinking: no no no no, don’t let this end now, the story isn’t over yet!
Gerardo ContijochThe very beginning, when they come out of the hotel and all the fans are cheering. The instrumental version of OWID is amazing!!!
Ivan KelavaEvery part with MF.
Anna GradowskaThe rocking audience, the vibe… The end accompanied by parts “it all beginns where it ends” from “Joyride”.
Alejandro Manniello – Only when I dream instrumental sounds terrific and fits the images perfectly.
Markus On WheelsMarie talking that open is touching.
Fabio SantosI dont have a favourite part, it was very special this documentary… I think it was nice to show to the all fans and curious their reality behind the stages!
Lindy LovegroveThe beginning when they walk out of hotel an OWID plays and when Marie spoke it was so emotional… loved it all
Myriam Roxana GarciaThe mix of images of concerts, when Marie and Mike talk about fans knowin’ their name… when she talks about the ill, I do not undertand a word, but I cried with her…

World Tour 2012: Gdansk/Sopot Audio Bootleg

cd_booklet

So far we have got several audio bootlegs from this year’s leg of the mighty Roxette tour – including Adelaide, Melbourne, Singapore, Buenos Aires, Birmingham, Dublin and San Francisco. But with this new release it’s a little bit different thing. First of all – for the first time you get one concert recorded by three people from three different perspectives (sitting, in the crowd and outside of it). We weren’t able to pick up the one that represents the finest quality so we have decided to go out with all three recordings done by Slawek (known from his great work for Gessle Over Poland and Warsaw 2011 DVDs), Damian (who is passionate with recording various gigs on video) and Nikodem. Blanka is once again behind the cover and booklet for this release. Secondly – our audio bootlegs are always previews of video releases that will surely pop up somewhere in the next year. Thirdly – as we earn nothing, we share it for free.

Brazilian Q&A with Roxette team

Brazilian fan page www.roxettebrasil.net has done 11 Q&A sessions with people working with/for/as Roxette during the World Tour – including Marie Fredriksson, Dea Norberg, Calle Brattberg, Danne Persson, Peter Fredriksson, Jakob Johnzen, Anders Molund, Mikael Svensson, Tumppi Haaranen, Sven Lindstrom (who took his time to answer those question not as others ;-), Ulf Brynte and last but certainly not least – Bo Johansson.

If you had problems with remembering who did what during the tour (expect Marie and Per singing), so this guide will take you through all other people that need to be remembered. And for those who didn’t know – Marie reveals who “Moje” is.

Shortened version of the Rox documentary & Roxette concert on SVT

For those who are eagerly waiting for Christmas gifts – there will be a big one from Roxette. You just have to live in Sweden to watch the public channel SVT on Wednesday, December 26th at 10:30pm for the shortened version of the Roxette documentary which will be – HOPEFULLY – out on the DVD next year. If you are living abroad, we guess it will be available in a free-of-charge VOD service on the website later that week. At this point we do not know if the documentary is in English or Swedish.

Additionally – as Roxette Cafe found out – January 2, 2013 at 10:30pm SVT 1 will air a Roxette concert compiled from the 2011-2012 world tour!

We’re keeping our fingers crossed the Gyllene Tider casus won’t be repeated this time…*

Here’s the short synopsis translated by Patricia Peres:

After Marie Fredriksson suffered from a brain tumor in 2002 it was a long way to recovery, and no one could have imagined that Roxette almost ten years later would be revived and go on a world tour again. What started with six planned gigs became a triumphal march around the world that lasted over 19 months. We follow Per, Marie and the band in a documentary about their return, the world tour, work in the studio, fantastic and fanatic fans worldwide with wonderful stories about how Roxette affected their lives and how they live with Roxette’s music.

* GT promised to release DVD with a documentary back in 2004, but firstly they showed the shortened version of the programme on TV and then the DVD was moved in time and with time cancelled…
