Roxette to play in Halmstad on August 14th – instead of Anderstorp!!

We just got following press release from Live Nation:

ROXETTE TO PLAY IN BROTTET IN HALMSTAD

Roxette’s concert on August 14th has been moved to Brottet in Halmstad. The reason for this is that the 3-day event “The Race Legends” in Anderstorp Raceway has been cancelled due to financial problems of the organisers.

Since more than 9000 tickets had already been sold, Roxette has decided together with Live Nation, to move the concert to Brottet in Halmstad. The bought tickets are still valid for the concert and more will be released on July13th.

“We were very surprised when we heard that the Anderstorp weekend had been cancelled since the ticket sales had been so good. We know that many fans from around the world had bought tickets and in order not to disappoint them, we will play in Brottet in Halmstad and we will offer a firework of hits in the halland summer grass,” say Marie and Per from Roxette.

Tickets for the concert in Brottet in Halmstad will cost 500 SEK plus service fee and will be sold via Livenation.se, Ticnet 077-170 70 70.

Tickets bought for the concert in Anderstorp will be valid for the concert in Halmstad.

ONLY concert tickets bought for the concert in Anderstorp will be valid for the concert in Halmstad, NOT race tickets!

Also note, additional tickets will ONLY be sold via Ticnet, NOT Biljett.nu.

The Race Legends event with Roxette gig cancelled!

According to an jnytt.se article, the upcoming The Race Legends event at Anderstorp raceway got cancelled due to financial problems of the organizers. It was meant to be the biggest event for the site since the 70s. As the article states, Roxette’s gig at the raceway doesn’t survive the failure. An official press release by organizer Urban Stamming about this issue is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday.

The Race Legends organisation was marked with confusion and failures from the beginning. There was a public dispute about the accepted ticket resellers.

Smukfest: 22,000 tickets are sold

Tickets for this year’s edition of Skanderborg Festival sell so good that the festival will announce sold out very soon, tv2oj.dk reports. Over 22,000 tickets are sold.

– There are only 3,000 tickets left and we can already announce sold out for Friday and Saturday. It is very probable we will announce sold out at the end of this month, Poul Martin Bonde, Smukfest’s spokesman, said to TV2 Østjylland.

Roxette is going to perform on Smukfest festival in Skanderborg on August 8th, Sunday at 10 PM local time, so there is still a chance to purchase a ticket.

Roxette started tour rehearsals this week

As Per informed via Twitter/Facebook, Roxette entered the rehearsal halls last monday to get ready for the upcoming live shows, starting August 7. As he revealed they even tried out songs which they never played live before! So the result could get really interesting. And don’t forget that Roxette is scheduled to perform at Princess Victoria’s wedding concert next week, June 18! They are rumored to play ‘The Look’, but maybe that’s not the only song?
