Official “Charm School” charts

We will collect the different official chart entries and positions of Roxette’s new album “Charm School” in this post. How is the album doing in your country? Let us know! Please provide sources to your numbers.

Update February 21: Roxette entered straight to #1 in Germany! Announcement by Media Control | EMI (who also provided us with a new promo picture).

Update April 1: “Charm School” enters South Africa! And Per says that it has been certified gold in Switzerland! Germany and Austria should follow that style, while the album is heading to platinum in Sweden, according to the latest Live Nation press release. And CS is not the only charting album: The current Roxette action brought the “Hits!” compilation up to #65 in the German charts…

Update April 14: The album has reached the Brasilian charts! According to different retailer charts it’s also selling well in Argentina, but the official chart site doesn’t get updated. There’s also lack of official sources for Russia and Asian countries. We’re grateful for your help!

Update April 20: “Charm School” got Gold in Germany for more than 100,000 sales! Russia now included in the table.

  1. abysmo: Musicload Charts are not the official album charts in Germany! The German charts aren’t out yet, we will have to wait until monday or tuesday and CS will most probably start on No. 1.

  2. Charm School seems not to have charted in Switzerland at all this week.

SGNO(BTR) is on no 67(!) in the single charts.

It doesn’t surprise me since there is ZERO promotion here…

  3. Musicload features official (only Top 20) and also non-official internal charts, you have to be careful by reading.

Charm School won’t enter the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland before next Friday. That’s when the charts of this week get published. There’s always a gap between compiling and publishing. But we should know for sure on Tuesday. 😉

  4. In Spain the first week “Charm School” in #2!!!!!! (oficial)
    Now “Deluxe” i-tunes #11
    It´s fantastic

  5. taxford: CS can’t chart in Germany before next week. And it looks like they will go to #1 spot directly.

  6. Charm School is number 49 on the Official ARIA Australian Album Charts this week and number 32 on the Digital Album Charts. First time since 1996 that a Roxette album has made the official Top 50.

  7. There is an error in the table. The positions for Belgium (Flanders) and Finland have been swapped. Belgium should be #27 and Finland €34.

    • Technically yes, but I decided to simply keep the international charts in line for the sake of comparison. Because I don’t know the official chart release dates for every country… 😉
