Update February 21: Roxette entered straight to #1 in Germany! Announcement by Media Control | EMI (who also provided us with a new promo picture).

Update April 1: “Charm School” enters South Africa! And Per says that it has been certified gold in Switzerland! Germany and Austria should follow that style, while the album is heading to platinum in Sweden, according to the latest Live Nation press release. And CS is not the only charting album: The current Roxette action brought the “Hits!” compilation up to #65 in the German charts…

Update April 14: The album has reached the Brasilian charts! According to different retailer charts it’s also selling well in Argentina, but the official chart site doesn’t get updated. There’s also lack of official sources for Russia and Asian countries. We’re grateful for your help!

Update April 20: “Charm School” got Gold in Germany for more than 100,000 sales! Russia now included in the table.

  2. It was released on February 15 (the deluxe edition, a few days later). It has a sticker that reads “Product for sale exclusively in South America except Brazil”, so I guess the Argentinian CD will be available in other countries too, like Uruguay.

  18. #22 in Finlad, I hope it gets into the Top 20 next week. btw The positions of CS in Switzerland, Germany and Austria clearly show that promotion in other countries would be more than great 🙁

  19. Yes, the song has started to have more radio play here in Finland. It makes me always so happy to hear it in some ordinary place like in a bus or lunch bar. Some days I hear it several times even I don’t particulary listen to radio.

I think the details are incorrect (mediatraffic) because it puts that “Charm School” has sold 30,000 copies and does not seem very real disk having come back to number 1 in many countries.In Spain, number 1 is to sell 30,000 copies.In Germany there are many more people and Roxette is No. 1 in sales,so Roxette have sold quite well.

    The album is still performing good, considering there is almost no promotion.
    In Germany, SGNOBTR is still at top 10 on singles chart and really good at airplay on #8.
