Roxette landed in Tel Aviv

Swedish duo Roxette have arrived to Israel earlier today. Per Gessle flew to Tel-Aviv at three in the morning with a direct flight from Frankfurt, accompanied by family and friends. Marie Fredriksson came with earlier flight. Along with Marie and Per – 30 crew members and 6 tons of equipment came to the Holy Land.

Currently Roxette concert is the most popular event in the country with no 1 on Eventim.co.il charts with several thousand tickets sold so far. No cameras are allowed in the open-air venue on Saturday.

Check some photos from the airport.

Per Gessle interviewed on the Israeli TV2 channel

As we informed yesterday, Roxette is the biggest selling artist in Israel at the moment. As one of promotional activities for the coming Tel Aviv concert, Per Gessle was interviewed by Israeli TV2 – you don’t have to practice your Hebrew this time as the interview is in English, only subtitled 🙂

Roxette greetings to Israeli fans

Just before Sukierrock Festival concert in Tienen, Belgium on July 31st, Roxette recorded very short ID with greeting to all Israeli fans. Have a look here. Currently Roxette’s gig is the most popular concert on Eventim.co.il website. The very first Israeli concert will take place in Tel Aviv on October 22nd.

Roxette to play Israel

According to mako.co.il Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle are to perform at Tel Aviv’s Exhibition Grounds on October 22. Roxette is being brought to Israel by producer Shuki Weiss. The first tickets for the concert will be sold online for NIS 295 ($85). The price will later go up to NIS 370 ($107).

“Several months ago I flew to watch a performance of Roxette in Europe and what I saw was the band that continues to grow over the years” says producer Shuki Weiss. “Their communication with the audience is amazing – it’s the best live show there. I was asking myself questions about the vocal and physical abilities of the singer, Marie Fredriksson, after her determined struggle with cancer, but I got to see her victory and her will to conquere the stage is stronger than ever”

Tickets will go on sale at www.eventim.co.il on April 18th.
