Roxette on Audi RockPop Festival

Despite earlier fears, it seems like two new German June concerts will take place in the end. Donaukurier.de published an information yesterday that Roxette is to perform together with Ich&Ich on Festival that will take place in Ingolstadt on June 24th. This event will celebrate opening of the new stadium for local football team Ingolstadt 04.

We have no updates on the second gig Neckarsulm, but we can only suspect that it was not cancelled either.

Update: Roxette Official confirms that both concert in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm take place, on June 25th and 24th respectively.

Mexico date off the tour

Roxette.se published an updated 2011 World Tour schedule yesterday. It was long speculated if the actual gig in Mexico would take place as the sale had not started in the last 3 months. Now it seems like the concert was cancelled.

We were unoficially informed that Montevideo gig would be organized on April 2nd instead of the Mexico date.

Which new song should Roxette add to the tour setlist?

Warsaw gig is sold-out

Warsaw gig in Torwar hall for around 8,000 people on June 19th is sold-out – Eventim.pl and Live Nation Poland‘s websites inform. This is the 10th sold-out show on 2011 Roxette World Tour.

Update: In fact it’s the 12th sold-out show as Sofia and Gothenburg were moved to bigger venues.

Roxette to perform 25 songs on the forthcoming tour

Per Gessle has revealed in today’s inteview for Swedish radio station Mix Megapol that Roxette would probably perform 25 songs on the new tour – they rehearsed 5 songs from the new album as well. In the new German interview for Frankfurter Rundschau he also reveals that they will play their biggest hit mostly

That’s simply because I’m a fan myself. If I go to see U2, the Stones or AC/DC, I want to hear their greatest hits. I remember going to a concert of The Police’s Reunion Tour once and they only played three of their hits – and then all this other shit they had been doing. I hated it and left. If David Bowie ever goes on tour again, I’ll want to hear the hits that have meant so much to me. Not the ones he happens to be desperate to play. If I pay – play for me!
