Small Apartments – director’s cut trailer

We could already see the official trailer of Small Apartments, but now a director cut trailer is also available on Jonas Åkerlund‘s website. You can get more of the familiar Per Gessle SOAP vibes from this version.

As we already informed you, release date of the DVD is 19th February. Soundtrack: out “very soon” 😉 – still no info about an exact date.

The Per Gessle Boogaloo Selection – 2010-2012

This is a selection of Mr. Gessle’s verbal and physical boogaloo bonanzas from the short videos published on Roxette Official. I tried to collect the most memorable ones, but of course, there is a little boogalooing in almost all of the short vids. Enjoy!

For today, I couldn’t start the video selection with anything better than the Swiss Benissimo birthday boogaloo. 😉 Happy birthday, Mr. G!

The newest Per Gessle ”hit”!

Today, by watching the docu (It All Begins Where It Ends) for about the 5th time and reaching the scene at 36:10 I started laughing again, just like I did during the first 4 views. Then I thought I definitely need this sound as a ringtone. So I ripped this part and made an mp3 file of it. But why to keep it just for myself? Maybe some other Roxers need a new wake-up alarm ringtone, too. That’s how it showed up on my YouTube channel and was posted on Roxette Official. I’m not sure if Per’s comment (”People are strange.”) was referring to himself or at the mental hospital thinking of people using this sound as a ringtone. Anyway, it seems to be a hit! Too funny and too cute to stay hidden in that fantastic documentary. Any new ”hits” are more than welcome in our ringtone collection, Per. 😉

Small Apartments release date

According to Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s press release, 11 months after its official premiere on the SXSW Film Festival in Texas, Jonas Åkerlund’s “Small Apartments” movie – for which Mr. Gessle has done the soundtrack based on the Son of a Plumber vibe – will finally be out in February, 2013. It will reach a limited audience, though, as it will appear in theaters in selected markets beginning 8th February via Tugg.com. Here you can check how tugg.com works.

The 97-minute-long movie will also be available on DVD from 19th February. DVD will include 2 bonus materials: “How To Build A Gravity Bong” & “Small Apartments: Behind The Scenes”. As Amazon.com informs, it will be a Region 1 DVD (US and Canada only). Language: English; subtitles: English, French, Spanish; dubbed: French. DVD can already be pre-ordered.*

What about the soundtrack? Good question. Will it ever be (physically) released? Hope we get some news on that soon.**

*According to Amazon.de, the DVD will be available for other regions, too, with the following subtitles: Italian, English, Arabic, French, Greek, Hindi, Dutch, Polish, Spanish, German. (Thanks for the info, Daniel Kühn.)

**According to The Daily Roxette: “The soundtrack to Small Apartments will be released on EMI Parlophone and “very soon” according to the writer of the music. There’s also whispers about vinyl…”
