Is this a “T2:Tourism2” cover?

Our reader Barry Mieny has removed the dark area in the bottom of the cover published by online Swedish shop CDON.com. If you look closer you may see that the album’s name includes colone instead of dash [T2:Tourism2[ and that there’ll probably be no spaces in between. This looks like a very tricky name!

We have no confirmation if this cover is real or not.

Update: The cover appeared in better quality at Ginza.se:

Thanks Honky Tonk!

Update 2 by J: Sven H has done some research and found the original plane picture and some information. The picture with the airplane was taken by Fredrik Olastuen who posted the following on his blog:

Speaking of photography, before the weekend I had a very pleasant surprise. Somebody had discovered one of my photos on Flickr and wanted to buy it, to use it album cover of a famous band in Sweden. I, of course, agreed to it, nice that my work is noticed and is appreciated. The picture otherwise also received many good comments earlier, quite funny actually, since the picture was taken almost by chance.

And I myself found this comment on Fredrik Olastuen page, left by Pär Wickholm at Minus on January 11. He basically writes that he works as a graphic designer and would like to buy a picture for an album cover for a “successful artist in Sweden”.

So it looks like the cover will at least have this plane on the cover. The idea is nice, also playing with the T2 = terminal 2, plane, travel, that the whole band is on the cover.. but let’s hope the bus and the band pictures get better!

Thanks Sven!

Helena Josefsson tells about the duet “My Own Worst Enemy” recorded for the film “Hamilton”

As we reported yesterday, Helena Josefsson is featured in a duet called “My Own Worst Enemy” which was recorded for the Swedish film “Hamilton – in the interest of the nation”. Helena has told us a bit more about the song.

How come you are singing a duet for the film “Hamilton  in the interest of t he nation”?

I was singing my music at an internal EMI party and there someone discovered my voice. They were about to record this Hamilton-song, and asked me to try the female vocals. I went to their studio and it worked out great!

My part in the song, as I think of it,  is to illustrate Hamilton’s late girlfriend, singing to him from heaven.

And how was it with Robert Petersson, lead singer of Takida?

Then they tried a number of male singers and they fell for Robert’s voice. I really think his voice is perfect for the song!

We also read that a video was done for the song?

The video was shot a month ago and will be released on the 13/1. I’m excited to see it! The same day I was recording backing vox for the new Roxette-album. It was a very exciting day!

Will you be at the VIP premiere of the film?

Yes, me and Martinique will go to Stockholm for the premiere and there we will perform the song.

Duet featuring Helena Josefsson on Swedish film soundtrack

Helena Josefsson has recorded a duet “My Own Worst Enemy” together with Robert Petersson, lead singer of the Swedish rock group Takida, which will be part of the soundtrack of the Swedish film “Hamilton – in the interest of the nation”.

The film will have its VIP-premiere in the Stockholm on January 10th and will be in the cinemas on January 13th, according to Svensk Filmindustri. The thriller is based on a book with the same title written by Jan Guillou in 1988. Guillou has written 11 novels featuring Carl Hamilton, a fictional Swedish military spy and hero.  Several characters in the books are based on actual people. For example, Jan Guillou is the basis of a character called Erik Ponti.

The song is written by Måns Tristan Sohlman aka Tristan. “I got the request from my management to perform this song and I thought it was a great song when I first heard it,” tells Robert Pettersson to Dagbladet,”it has a very typical film sound already in the intro, and part of it could be called rock”.

A video to the song has been recorded as well, which will have its premiere on Monday. A trailer of the film can be found on Youtube:

The film has even a website and an account in Twitter and Facebook.
