Roxette’s Single “She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio)” is Out!

Long-awaited Roxette’s new single “She’s got nothing on (but the radio) can be purchased online from today on. So far, only the digital version is out. The digital single comes with “Wish I Could Fly” live in St. Petersburg, recorded in September.

International release dates may differ a bit, Amazon.co.uk/MP3 lists it for the 9th, some other places for the 10th. The CD single is scheduled for January 28.

We will list all stores (at least as many of them as possible) where it can be bought all around the world. Of course, we will need your help, let us know where it can be bought in your country!

Airplay for “Radio” single starts

Poland: EMI Music Poland has sent an electronic version of the latest Roxette single “She’s got nothing on (but the radio)” to the Polish radio stations. Airplay for the new single in Poland starts on Monday, January 10th.

Switzerland: According to airplay.ch the single was already played by Radio Argovia in Monday 3rd.

Sweden: the single was played on RixFM for the first time today at about 16:00.

As a reaction of the premature single release last friday the first music websites and blogs already posted initial reviews of Roxette’s new single. Here’s some excerpts:

The song sounds like classic Roxette with a modern twist. With an amazing sense of melody and the unique mix of Marie Fredriksson’s and Per Gessle’s voices, She’s Got Nothing On has the potential to be the biggest single from the duo since “Joyride”, their last Canadian number one hit in 1991.

As for us, well we just think it’s a good song really! … Retro guitars and huge drum beats are mixed up in a pop mould, and it gives the song a sugar coating that would make any pill easier to swallow. Melody wise, the chorus is very Roxette – soaring and anthemic.

… a return to form for the Swedish hit makers. The soaring vocal melodies are what one would expect to hear from a band that created some of the biggest hits of the 80s and 90s. Hopefully the label also gives the pair another shot in the States, as well, with “She’s Got Nothing On”, because if Per Gessle’s composition proves only one thing, it’s that he’s still at the top of the game when it comes to Swede pop perfection. We think Roxette are still looking sharp. What say you?
