Roxette will perform on Smukkaste Festival on its last day – Sunday, August 8th. In 2009 over 45,000 people attended this event making it the second biggest festival in Denmark just after Roskilde. We do not know the exact time when Roxette will hit the stage, but we encourage all the readers to purchase the ticket for at least one day here (650 DKK + fees). In the meantime you can see how the ticket for this festival looks like:

The idea is very simple.
You write down your own TOP 3 of Roxette’s songs you would like to hear on the concert(s?) in 2010. No 1 gets 3 points, no 2 – 2 points, no 3 – 1 point. In the end of March we will summerize all the lists and make the final setlist. We do hope the Man will read it and… use it

The programme will be broadcasted on German chanell – Deluxe Music in two parts:
- on April 4th (Easter Sunday), 19.00 – 20.00
- on Aprli 5th (Easter Monday), 19.00 – 20.00
It seems like there is a chance that we will get all five Roxette songs in this broadcast. Up till now there is no professional footage only from “It must have been love” – other songs were broadcasted on Belgian and Dutch TV-chanells.

Roxette fan Manuel Terrón Browa held his first art exhibition at Salon Capelli in his hometown Osnabrück, Germany. A local newspaper wrote an article about the artist and hairdresser in which also Marie Fredriksson is mentioned. This is the English translation of the article:
Manuel Terrón Browa is not only an artist when it comes to hair. This talented 30 year old with Spanish roots is also passionate about painting. Salon Capelli in Osnabrück, where Manuel works full time, forms the perfect backdrop for a stunning collection of his work. Manuel says he has enjoyed painting from an early age, but the last two years brought a new wave of creativity – the result of which is currently exhibited at Salon Capelli. His art mainly features face studies although he never contemplates the outcome of a painting – he merely acts on inspiration.
The style however, is always abstract with pure, clean lines and sparse use of colour. “Abstract art”, says Manuel “lends itself perfectly for individual interpretation, for reading between the lines …”
Being a devoted admirer of Marie Fredriksson, the Swedish star of Roxette, Manuel admits that he is hugely inspired by her life and work. Marie was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2002 and resolved to painting as part of her recovery process. I see her as a talented yet humble person, a survivor with fighting spirit and someone who sets an example to all with her positive outlook on life. Manuel dedicated a book of his works of art to Marie which he presented to her at a recent show. “I wanted to show her how greatly she’s admired and appreciated by all her fans.” says Manuel.The few pieces currently on show at Salon Capelli, 48 Pagenstecherstraße, Osnabrück, are selected from Manuel’s impressive portfolio of between 80–90 paintings and are for sale. This is the ticket for Norwegian gig that will take place on Viste stranden in Randaberg, Norway on August 21st. The concert is sold-out, but there is a chance to buy some tickets on billettservice.no – just visit this website regularly.

As we informed previously, a new song book “Best of Roxette” was planned to be released on March 22nd. Unfortunately, something went wrong – there will be 2 months delay and we can expect “Best of Roxette” to appear on the shelves on June 1st. It is still unclear if it is going to be released outside Sweden. Gehrmans Musikforlag, the publishing company, claims it will be available everywhere expect US/Canada, but time will tell if it is true.
The book will cost around 300 SEK in Sweden and it will include many Roxette pictures as well as new liner notes from Per Gessle.

Norwegian gig is sold out.

Over 8,000 tickets were sold in just 6 days for Roxette concert which will take place on Viste beach on August 21st, Norwegian media reports. According to Bygdebladet.no there is still an opportunity for those who have not bought a ticket. Tickets that were not picked up in three days will return for the open sale.
On the other hand Billettservice.no still sells Roxette tickets. Maybe organizators decided to enlarge the concert a little bit?

The last concert this year will be held in St. Petersburg. It will be organized by Live Nation with help of PMI (Petersburg Musical Industry) and radio station Maximum 102.8 FM.

According to Thomas Johansson from Live Nation, there are no plans to include South America on Roxette concert schedule. Marie Dimberg from D&D Management claims there will not be any Roxette tour in 2010, only 5 concerts arranged on some Summer Festivals in Scandinavia and Russia.
