Is Danish concert cancelled or postponed?

On Friday afternoon people who bought tickets for Danish Brondby Roxette concert on July 21 were informed that this particular show is cancelled due to “logistical problems”. Here is the message:

Due to logistical problems on Roxettes tour, we will unfortunately have to cancel the concert at the cricket ground at Brøndby Stadium on 21 July. Refund: If your tickets are purchased by credit card via www.billetnet.dk so the money will automatically be returned to your account.

The same day the official statement was published on the Roxette Official Facebook page, where Roxette claim this concert is not cancelled – only postponed due to problems with transport of equipment from Romanian city of Cluj to Copenhagen in just two days.

Dear friends, unfortunately we have to postpone our upcoming Copenhagen-show (Criketbanan, Brondby July 21) due to logistic issues. As you know we’re in Cluj July 19 and it turned out be a nightmare to get all our gear to Denmark in time. We don’t like to do things like this and we’ll try to re-schedule and get a new date asap. Sold tickets will, of course, be re-funded. Have a wonderful weekend, y’all.

It’s the fifth Roxette show being on sale cancelled during 2010-2012 tour – including Anderstorp (2010), Tallinn (2011), Auckland (2012), Asuncion (2012) and Brondby (2012). Two first gigs were happilly rescheduled to other dates, both Tallinn & Auckland cancelled due to Marie and Per’s illnesses. Mexico (2011) & Bogota (2012) were removed from the tour’s schedule before even tickets went on sale.

“Touched By The Hand Of God” – the second single off TRAVELLING (Update)

Radio Berlin in its chart show “Hey Music” has recently added Roxette’s “Touched By The Hand Of God” to the voting list. We have no information if this is the second single off TRAVELLING or just a pick from radio’s dj.

Update Per Gessle has confirmed on Facebook that this is the second single

Yep, looks like TBTHOG will be the 2nd single off Travelling! A wise choice do you think?

Gessle reveals: “DVD before Xmas (hopefully)”

After our two calls for a full DVD show and Gessle’s unsatisfactory answer (here and there), we were informed by The Man on Facebook when we can expect this “imperfectly perfect” DVD to be released. It seems like it can be out just in time for Christmas shopping.

According to various fan sources production company starts the cutting in summer and if everything goes right, the DVD will be ready for sale in November. They have already more then 300 hours filmed material! Unfortunately, we will be able to see just 90 minutes of this. As for recording the show – no concert was shot professionally in the quality allowing to be released for DVD purposes. The production team used handcameras only – the same as they did in Berlin or Hamburg last year.

Russia: Roxette have written “a special song” for Oriflame

Last September we revealed that Roxette are set to play at Globen in Stockholm this summer (August 2012) on the special anniversary corporate event organized by the Swedish company Oriflame. In the beginning of May this year it turned out that Russian edition of “Travelling” does not include the very first international single “It’s possible” in both versions.

You may ask how those two things go together? Well, it turns out that Russian chapter of Oriflame claims that Roxette have written a special song for them. What’s its name? Yes, you’re right – “It’s possible”! In the end of May the 9th edition of the Oriflame magazine will be released together with a special bonus CD – including 11 Roxette hits and a new track called “It’s possible”. At this point we only know this will be released in Russia and will cost 99 rubles (ca USD 3.5). The artwork for both the cover and CD discs is shown above this text.

The tracklist for the album:
01. It’s Possible
02. It must have been love (Live in St. Petersburg)
03. Wish I could fly
04. How do you do! (Live in Stavanger)
05. Dangerous (Live in Stavanger)
06. Reveal (Attic Remix)
07. Speak to me (Bassflow Remake)
08. Dressed for success (Live in St. Petersburg)
09. Sleeping in my car (Live in Stavanger)
10. Real Sugar
11. Milk and Toast and Honey
12. Listen to your heart (Live in St. Petersburg)
