Why Small Apartments vinyls are not signed?

Today Per wrote this on Roxette Official and Per Gessle Official (Facebook) regarding the Small Apartments vinyl:

Out now, CD + double LP in coloured vinyl (one white/one red). Limited edition.

Small Apartments

He’s not mentioning that the vinyls are signed, however, earlier (on 14th March, 2013) he communicated that they are:

FINALLY!!!!! SMALL APARTMENTS SOUNDTRACK digital release date (Spotify + iTunes etc) March 18. CD will be out here and there March 27. Exclusive numbered and signed double-vinyl album out very soon as well. Have to decide which colour to use on the records first….. /P.

Looks like the SMALL APARTMENTS SOUNDTRACK double-LP, in coloured vinyl + signed + numbered in a limited edition will be out April 17! Sort of.

Some fans already received the double LP and say there is no signature on it. It was already strange that none of the online shops mentioned anything about the vinyl being exclusive. Now we’re wondering whether limited edition also means the copies are numbered or they are not. Many fans ordered SA vinyl together with the CD just because of it’s being extremely unique and now they seem to be disappointed, which is fully understandable.

Well, the album is a masterpiece, double vinyl is coloured and it’s a limited edition (being numbered or not; as Per says “It’s very limited. Only 350 copies were made.“) and Mr. G for sure will sign everyone’s copy in person if there is a chance to meet him, but still. What if there is no chance for a fan to meet him…?

Update (16:30, 29th April, 2013): Per replied to the question on Roxette Official:

Dear all, no SA vinyl soundtracks have been signed. They went straight to the “record stores” without passing that sharp pen of Mr G. A couple got signed at the Gyllene Tider instores last weekend. That’s it so far.

The problem is/was that the vinyl LP’s are not manufactured in Sweden anymore…… They went straight from Holland (or Germany) to international stores and internet shippers. I still haven’t got one!!!! /P.

Per Gessle – being a doppelganger

We’ve been already kidding with it since last May or so that – with his actual hairdo – Per reminds many people of Mr. Snape from Harry Potter movie. Yeah, even a bad Photoshop pic was made back then (by me, sorry…).

Can’t be a coincidence that Per visited Grindelwald 2 weeks ago. 😉

Now, after Mr. Gessle appeared on Gyllene Tider’s press conference with his freshly dyed, trimmed and straightened hair, Twitter and several blogs (why should we give it a miss?) are bursting with short notes on the similarity (see tweets and blog links after the picture). Judge it yourself:

Well, it doesn’t matter until he himself likes it and those ruthless G majors sound better on a Rickenbacker while he’s shaking his hair. 😉

The Per Gessle Selection goes social

If you don’t have enough Roxette- or Per Gessle-related sites to follow, here you have the new Facebook page for Per’s wine selection. Knowing Mr. G, the page will surely be managed by himself. There are already some nice pictures of the wines available so far.

On the side of Sommartider wine boxes you can find some summer tips from the sommarguru:

  • Titta mot himlen och blunda! (= Look at the sky and close your eyes!)
  • Skriv en sommardikt. Du kan om du vill (= Write a summer poem. You can if you want)
  • Ät några smultron så blir du glad! (= Eat some wild strawberries and you will be happy!)
  • Gå och fiska ibland! (= Go fishing sometimes!)
  • Ta hand om dina vinyl-skivor. De är dina bästa vänner! (= Take care of your vinyl records. They are your best friends!)
  • En cykelhjälm är aldrig fel! (= A bicycle helmet never comes amiss!)

Now only one thing is missing: someone, please, make the wines available worldwide!

Gyllene Tider’s Man blir yr video premiere and chat with Per Gessle

Gyllene Tider’s video for their first single off Dags att tänka på refrängen album, ”Man blir yr” premiered on Aftonbaldet TV today. When Per posted ”Video is coming soon!” on Gyllene Tider’s facebook page on 1st April, most of us thought it was just an April Fool’s Day post. Now the video is really here. Most scenes in the clip are from TV4’s Fråga Gyllene Tider show or at least from the same day, shot in the rehearsal studio. There are many old Gyllene Tider pictures appearing, too. The ending is too cool with Per throwing a plec. Watch it yourself!

Fans also had a chance to chat with Mr. Gessle on Aftonbladet at 12:30 CET today. The chat lasted for about 35 minutes.

From the chat we get to know that the girl in Man blir yr video is called Filippa. The guy who drew the awesome Gyllene Tider cartoon characters is called Paco. Ullevi was his best concert with Gyllene Tider and it’s still not out of the game this year. There most probably won’t be any more Gyllene Tider signing sessions than the 3 already announced ones. Mr. Gessle promises there will be some unexpected songs on tour. There is a plan to record the tour on DVD.

Per sings much much worse after drinking 4-5 beers, so he never drinks alcohol before a gig. He’s losing focus and it fits his personality very badly. Mr. G is not listening to Justin Bieber (surprise, surprise…).  If he could have a dinner with three other musicians, dead or alive, he would choose John Lennon, Syd Barrett and Mama Cass. To the question regarding what he’s most proud of in his career he replied:

I am proud that I still have a wonderful relationship with the audience. It’s the audience around the world that made all this possible.

He says he has never been angry with anyone in the audience while he was on stage:

Our audience is generally VERY positive and active and you never want to stop playing for them!

Regarding his actual hairdo (the hairdo, the hairdo!!! read it carefully! 🙂 ) he says:

I like my hair right now because I can shake it so cool when I play a ruthless G major on Rickenbacker!

The last question  – coming from Felix – was when he is resting. Per’s reaction:

Felix, you sound like my wife!!!!!! I’ve been floating in my life and get to work with what I love. I’ll rest later.

Two new wines added to the Per Gessle Selection

Two new wines have been added to the Per Gessle Selection. The Wine Agency, the company distributing the wines, sent out this press release yesterday:

Per Gessle is used to successes and since both critics and the audience loved his Italian wines “Furet” and “Kurt and Lisa” he was more than pleasedwith his debut in the wine business. Now it’s time for two delicious French sequels in the “The Per Gessle Selection”, the “Sommartider” wine boxes, a white and a rosé, which premiere to the world today, April 8th.

Nothing could be more longed for after an eternity long winter than the promise of brighter and warmer times! Per Gessle himself is the one behind the summery boxes’ design which make you think of  the lovely, lasy summer days. Together with one of France’s most well-known wine producers, François Lurton, he has created two new wines of southern French grapes.

The white wine “Sommartider” is a delicious combination of gros manseng and souvignon blanc grapes. Fruity and fresh as a summer day with nice notes of citrus, line and blackcurrant. Lovely on its own and very nice with fish, chicken and salads.

The rosé “Sommartirder” is done from 100% Syrah. South France summer with fragance and flavours of raspberry, red currant and herbs. Refreshing and the best summer picnic wine that fits most of meals.

The press release goes on telling about Per Gessle as an artist and the previous two wines, “Furet” and “Kurt & Lisa” as well as about François Lurton.

The two wines can be bought at Systembolaget from now on at a price of 199 SEK / box. They are also available in bottles but only for restaurants.
