It was a windy and cold night in Norwegian Stavanger on August 21st when Roxette performed in front of over 8,000 people. In fact it was unforgettable evening even for nature as the beach where the gig took place was so destroyed during the concert that it is very probable that there will be no Summer Festival out there next year.

Marie was great. Her hi-lites were Halmstad, Stavanger and St. Peter.

Spanish fan team decided to record everything on tape (high quality one! :), but there was some minor problems and that is the reason why the first two songs – “Dressed for success” and “Sleeping in my car” are missing. Anyway – sweet sixteen from Stavanger only for you on RXB.

As we haven’t been at the concerts Arlanda and I (Kerstin) decided to make this little bootleg to remember and celebrate Roxette’s comeback. Inspired by Per’s Gessle Over Europe we searched youtube for concert videos to get songs from every concert. In doing so, our intention was not to create a fine high quality masterpiece but a nice souvenir of this miraculous tour.

2010 tour bootleg: Moscow, video

So it’s another day and another bootleg. It will be hard to beat yesterday’s live album with any other audio recording that I have, so today I chose a video bootleg for a change. It was recorded in – suprise, suprise – Moscow! So Russians did it again. Not only recorded the concert in a very good quality, but someone (was he/she Russian?) recoreded this nice, sometimes a little bit shaky and too-many-heads-on-the-screen video. Not everything is there (Kalinka-Malina is missing for instance), but well, you cannot have everything, can you?

What can I say? It’s just worth watching. And if you know the person who did this, please let us know – we would like to write it was You, Dear Fan (though no money for copyrights, sorry 🙂

2010 tour bootleg: “From Russia with love” (Moscow, audio)

I was a little bit anxious to post bootlegs from 2010 tour, but since we got an official ok from The Man through Twitter, so it became just question of time with which bootleg to start with? As for now there are at least 3 bootlegs circulating over the internet and at least 2 more I know that will be available soon. I have decided to choose the one with the best quality. The recordings come from the concert which took place in Moscow on September 10th, 2010. It was recorded and mixed by Jacob “Rocktrades”.

Equipment: AT943 cardioid –> CA-9100 (no bass roll-off) –> Edirol R-09 (Line-in 24bit/44.1kHz)
Lineage: USB transfer to PC -> Adobe Audition v.3.0 (slight EQ applied, normalised, dithering to 16/44) -> CDWave for track splits -> Flac Frontend (level 8, aligned on sector boundaries)
