On September 30 “Kvarteret Skatan – I nöd och lust” show has its premiere at Rival in Stockholm with subsequent celebrity mingle.
The popular TV humor program “Kvarteret Skatan” turned into an entertaining stage show about love, marriage and relationship tangles. Another participants, among others, were comedians Johan Glans and David Batra. Many celebrities were on hand to get themselves a laugh.
Update: Thanks to crashroxer we get one more picture from that evening and thanks to Evegeny – there is a little interview with Marie from Swedish Radio.
Marie seems to feel more comfortable when she can sing “in force” (“The Look”, “Joyride”). As a solist on the ballads, she seems a little timide.
Maurice thinks that with the support of the fans she will feel more at ease. Per was impeccable, even if he didn’t go to the bottom. He also notes that for the interventions of Roxette, the Electric Band is replaced by the Rox band.
An uknown clip from December 2005 from Cafe Opera where Marie Fredriksson performed “I never loved a man (the way I loved you)” was posted yesterday on YouTube.
The NOTP fanpage features interviews with the conductor and the arranger of Night of the Proms. The interviews from this summer reveal some bits about their work with Roxette so far.
Roxette with Robert Groslot in May 2009Robert Groslot, conductor, on Marie: Did you meet Roxette before? Were there any rehearsals yet?
No, there were some preparations; When I’ve met Marie in May she was still fragile. I hope she’s much better now; it looks important to me that she’s protected and not has too many contacts.
Franck van der Heijden, arranger, on the orchestra arrangements: For example, how long do you work at a number for Roxette for the fall editions? However, they are coming with their own band.
Well, Roxette exists from control freaks who like to work with their own arranger. From 2002 there are some things ready for them. About Roxette we’ve already talked about, since the arrangements of 2002 still exists.
I’m going to rewrite the arrangement because I’m no longer happy with what their arrangers made of it then.
