Marie’s biography as an audio book

As you already know, Marie Fredriksson’s long-awaited biography is planned to be published later this year. Well, Ginza, Bengans and CDON have already listed the book, so we can see the title will be Kärleken till livet (= Love for life). What is incredibly interesting is that it is listed as an audio book, CD with mp3 sound format. Wow! Wow! And once again: Wow! That’s what you call exciting! I have to add that CDON has a hardcover edition listed, too.

This is what CDON writes about the book:

“I just want to talk about it as it is. No fuss. Just simply and straightly about how it has been.” Marie Fredriksson presented her book idea to author Helena von Zweigbergk with these words.
Marie’s life has included a lot of drama. Growing up in poverty in the countryside in Skåne. Her family suffered from severe sadness when one of her sisters died in a car accident. Major breakthrough as an artist in Sweden and then an international career with Roxette. And then the disaster. The brain tumor that came as a death sentence. Marked by her illness, she stands on the stage today. Right now she is out on a world tour with Roxette again.
In the book about Marie Fredriksson she and her closest will talk. It is a story of great love, sorrow, incomparable success and revenge against all odds – thanks to the love for life.

Publishing date is 7th October 2015. Yee-haa!

As we already informed you about it, a 25th anniversary It Must Have Been Love 10″ single in red vinyl will be released soon. The physical release date is 6th May, but today, on the 25th anniversary of Pretty Woman’s movie premiere the single is made available on Spotify. Click HERE to have a listen!

25th anniversary release of It Must Have Been Love

As Per informed some days ago on Roxette’s Facebook page, a 25th anniversary It Must Have Been Love 10″ single in red vinyl will be released soon. The release date is set to 6th May! The anniversary sleeve is also shared at the record stores’ websites. Bengans, Ginza and CDON have already listed the limited edition item.

New Roxette album to be released in autumn 2015 – reveled in the latest compilations sets [PHOTOS]

Two new Roxette compilations are already on the market including revised version of 2006 Rox Box (minus DVD with videos and concert) as well as special compilation called “The 30 Biggest Hits“. Our friend Daniel Rezmann from Australia shared some pictures, so any of you, photos or CD hunters out there, here comes your feast!

What interesting inside (beside music!) is the official statement that new Roxette album should be released in autumn 2015, three years after “Travelling” album. Am I right it’s the first time some really stated that? Anyway, 2015 tour begins tomorrow on the 7th of February (or in fact – according to New Zealand time – today).

The 30 Biggest Hits

The Per Gessle Selection champagnes and 2011 Kurt & Lisa are out

In June this year Per announced on Facebook that The Per Gessle Selection would grow by three bottles of champagne. The bottles were supposed to hit the stores (or Systembolaget) in November. We have been looking forward to this “release” and finally the champagnes are here including very cool stickers.

The Pleaser – a blend of grape varieties 40% pinot noir and 60% chardonnay – is available at Systembolaget for 308 SEK.

The Convincer – a rosé blend of 50% pinot noir and 50% chardonnay – is available at Systembolaget for 325 SEK.

The Improver is a cuvée produced in partnership with Blanc de Blancs producer Pierre Peters from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in Cotes du Blancs and consists of 15 different vintages – even back to 1988. Only a few hundred bottles (the initial information was 500) have been produced. The champagne will be sold at Hotel Tylösand – no further information regarding how to buy it otherwise though.

Besides these three champagnes, Kurt & Lisa 2011 is available at Systembolaget since early December as well. Rumour has it that it’s the best so far (so just watch out when you buy it, some stores still have the 2010 and want to sell that one before putting the new one on the shelves. I was even told at one of the stores early December that the year doesn’t matter, that I should get the 2010 because they are the same……no comment). The sticker has been updated with a new colour too.

And last but not least, I finally had the opportunity to drink Fru Nordin white and I must say – well done! The non-alcoholic wines I had tasted so far were rather dry and acid. This one is milder, but it tastes more like wine and fruty. Very yummie. The WineAgency has also published a recipe for a white wine glögg – without alcohol, that is. Check it out! You may get inspired.

So if you live in Sweden (or happen to be there) head to Systembolaget and grab some of the Per Gessle Selection bottles for the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties! Welcoming 2015 with one of these champagnes will surely be special (seems I was in Sweden too early this month).
