Miscs

The concert was initially scheduled in a smaller venue and was moved to Palau Sant Jordi around Summer due to the huge demand (and that, with zero publicity about the concert!). I however don’t know official numbers, I would say about 6,000?

“Soul Deep” and “Watercolours in the Rain” were dropped off the setlist again.

Fans organised to hold printed A4 sheets with the word “TACK!” on it (thanks Claudia!) when Roxette came back to play “Spending my time”, action which left all of them on stage speechless.

Christoffer played the FC Barcelona hymn as intro for Joyride and got everybody (or at least 90%) to sing the song along… Barça, Barça, Barça! The big surprise was to come though, Marie appeared on stage wearing FC Barcelona t-shirt with #10, Messi. Which made the Barcelonistas go crazy.

This time the famous Spanish fans wore viking helmets, which the band ended up wearing during “Church of your Heart”.

Miscs

Around 9,000 fans saw Roxette in Madrid (some sources say 11,000, but we stick to what Per wrote).

“Soul Deep” and “Watercolours in the Rain” were dropped off the setlist again.

Christoffer played “Paquito el chocolatero”, as intro for Joyride and got everybody to sing “hey, hey hey” along, very typical in Spain.

Roxette to play Hong Kong in March!

As the Hong Kong Tourism Board informs, Roxette’s world tour will reach the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hall 5BC on March 8, 2012.

Tickets will be available through Hong Kong Ticketing (Tel: +852 31 288 288) and Tom Lee on 23 November 2011 at 10am

The concert isn’t listed by Live Nation yet. Look out for more Asia dates in that time frame!

10th show in Australia added!

Live Nation Australia & New Zealand has finally revealed this news earlier today – it seems like Roxette’s successes with the current tour down-under never end. Though it was said that 9 scheduled concerts in Australia are the final list – now it turned out that the demand is so overwhelming that there will be the third (and final, haha) show in Sydney!

OK you deserve to hear it first – there will now be a TENTH show – a THIRD & FINAL for Sydney – on Saturday February 25. If you’re in Sydney and want to go there will be a LN pre-sale but you won’t need to log in to My Live Nation, instructions to come. It’s Mardi Gras night so will be a huge party

We just love such promoters who do their work well!

Thanks to Celestte Thistlethwayte for letting us know.
